[history]
The last three months were the "greatest terror" and the "greatest privilege" in her life, said Mercer (right).
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan -- Tear-choked aid workers held by the Taliban for over three months for preaching Christianity have told reporters in Pakistan that they used their faith to get through the ordeal.

Mercer fought back tears praising those involved in their release, including President Bush, whom she described as a man of God. Amen!

Did anyone see this press conference? It was really cool. They were very grateful to have a God loving man in the White House. They were continually praising God, and thanking Jesus.
My guess is, they won't play it again.

The women said, however, that they were treated with respect by the Taliban, some referring to them as sisters and saying that they loved them. What they neglect to mention here is that when asked how the other prisoners were treated, their faces changed, they got quiet, and said that the other Afghan prisoners were treated horribly. They couldn't describe the atrocities.

I like and the military. I think their faith had a lot to do with it.

I think their faith had a lot to do with it. If you would have seen the press conference, there was no mistaking it!

A man of God, resting squarely in the middle of God's will! Those who watch him closely can see the love of the Lord shining in his face!
Praise God for these two young women and their testimony before the whole world! I hope they get to meet the President face to face as brother and sisters in Christ! (Here on earth, I mean........they will meet eventually in Glory!!)

Does this mean that if they had not had their faith, they would now be dead?

Maybe physically saved by the US military (with God's help of course) and most certainly emotionally saved throughout their ordeal by their faith. :)

Notice how the media refuses to call them Missionaries? What are "aid workers" anyway?

Man there is some strange english in this article - guess CNN is going downhill too!!!

When they applied for Visas they were informed that it was against the law to evangelize. There is no record of Western evangelists being put to death in the past. They are deported. These aid workers would probably have been deported much earlier if war had not broken out.

My guess is, they won't play it again. That would be a shame. God graciously woke me up just as it started. They were wonderful! God is so good! I laughed and cried for joy at the same time.

Well, at least we found out the hierarchy of what's objectionable to CNN.
If Faith and Rescuers With Guns fit in the headline...leave out the
Rescuers...because they're using those evil old guns.

Late last night I watched the interview on FOX. Truly amazing how God protected them and gave them strength and increased their faith throughout their imprisonment. Wonderful interview.
