I saw the whole event live this morning on cable... wonderful and inspiring..... serious and playful at the same time. One of the happiest events I've seen on TV for a while...

I grinned so much I thought my face would break. It was a truly mind-boggling occasion ..... nearly incomprehensible to those of us who remember Kruschev promising to bury us, the Cuban missile crisis, and other such events.

We also must not forget that what we witnessed today would not have been possible without Ronald W. Reagan ..... "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" ..... and the walls came tumbling down! (Well, it wasn't quite that simple but they did come down.)
