This is Bull $h!t!!!
The NTSB is LYING like rugs!!!
NTSB dude just claimed that .3 to .8 g's encountered during the wake encounter caused the Airbus to break up in flight...
Even a male reported asked "is this even possible".
"Isn't this normal bumping encountered when flying?"
Even the media don't believe them!!!!!

I understand that the day before it crashed the plane had an inspection. What type, I have no idea. The best solution I have heard to date, IMHO, is counterfit bolts holding the vertical tail section to the airframe body. If the plane did fly through the turbulent draft of another plane this may have been the cause of the tail to break free and the reason the pilot increased the throttle to Full Power.
There was a remark somewhere that these tail sections may have been manufactured in China. True/ not true, I don't know.
How someone would have been able to score and conceal their work at a busy aircraft repair station I don't know.
Years ago I was at the controls of a Cessna 182 behind a parked 737 at Medford Airport when he increased power to start taxiing. Thanks to an alert Towerman I was only up on two wheels before the 737 pilot reduced power. Another two or three seconds and I would have been flipped into the restaraunt. Yes, I had to slowly rock back and forth for about five minutes to break loose from the seat. LOL

Thanks lol......great story, glad you did not have an unplaned lunch landing in the restaraunt.
I heard on TV that all the bolts were intack.

BS. If the A300 was maintaining normal separation behind that JAL 747, the chances of this are near zero. The pilot should have had plenty of time to descend out of the turbulence wake.

"
Then spray paint over the burns, which have weakened the metal."
American Airlines doesn't paint the airframe, so this theory won't work.

The Dominican Republic was the ONLY country in the whole world which did not put stringent immigration requirements on WW II refugees during a conference on "what to do with the Jews" in 1938. All other countries closed their doors. Is it possible that is why they were targeted (if this was a terrorist attack)?

Amazingly, just like TWA 800, what we are finding out is that eyewitness accounts are about as reliable as the opinions of armchair generals forecasting quagmires in Afghanistan. There may well have been a fire in the "armpit" of the airplane, but things like that happen WHEN MOTORS ARE TORN OFF WINGS DUE OSCELLATIONS CAUSED BY THE LOSS OF THE TAIL!!! As desparately as you (and your ilk) want there to be a conspiracy here, you (like the infamous armchair generals) will once again be laughed back under your rocks.

There was a remark somewhere that these tail sections may have been manufactured in China. True/ not true, I don't know. I do not know about Airbus but the tail sections for Boeing planes are made in China. I believe that it was part of the deal made when China bought a large number of Boeing aircraft. It has something to do with China's domestic content rules. This is a fairly recent change. The wings for Boeing are all made here because (from what I have been told) the real "black art" in making airliners is in the wing and they want to ensure that they have complete control over that.

will once again be laughed back under your rocks. It must be nice to be a know it all. Your head must be huge!
Wouldn't it be a hoot if the investigation ends with you being wrong?

See #310. Just maybe it was the draft from another plane.

Interesting. You've already determined this tragedy is being covered up, (which must mean you know the cause of the accident and that what the NTSB has released is all lies), and then accuse me of being a know-it-all. All I "know" is that conspiracy nuts like you, are most useful when you remain under your rocks.

My father, retired USAF, says pulling 7 g's in a fighter aircraft is quite common. He says they are rated for 9+ g's. Not all. I spent a few afternoon pulling off inspection panels on an F4J after an overzealous pilot pulled more than 7 Gs during a Top Gun det.
We groundcrew got so p*ssed off at this guy (he did it four days in a row), that the maintenance Chief handed him a speed handle as he climbed out of the cockpit the "last" time he did it.

I heard on Fox that investigators were gathering the burned soot to see if there were any explosive agents in it. That's probably the last we'll hear about that no matter what the outcome.

It's going to take a wide open, undeniable show stopper of a plane crash like 9-11 on live TV in order for us to have another officially sanctioned terrorist attack involving commercial transport aircraft.
The airlines simply have too much to lose; Uncle Sam already gave 15 billion and wants to tighten the purse strings. Not to mention the public fear factor.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A JetBlue Airways pilot waiting for take-off at John F. Kennedy International Airport saw the American Airlines flight that crashed on Monday as it fell from the sky accompanied by smoke and a smaller piece of the aircraft, according to an internal report.
To: RightlySo
Before it exploded on impact, the aircraft was accompanied by the smaller piece above and to the right or southwest of the smoke trailing behind the main body, according to the internal JetBlue report provided to Reuters.
