And when Jennings, Woodruff, and Co. start the criticizing, undermining, and condescending, we have to keep each other posted so we can give them a good FReeping.

When I watched this umbrella walk on the news last night, I noticed that Laura Bush glides with her head up like a lady, and Ludmilla, while fairly attractive, galumphs along like a "comrade." Trudges. Ludmilla is going to learn plenty from Laura! They're going to have a lovely time together. One quick trip to Dallas for a makeover at Neiman-Marcus salon and a big buy at designer shop and Ludmilla would look gorgeous!
One can only imagine how many pieces Hitlery would have sliced Ludmilla into with those Ginzu eyes of hers.

I know, the question was rhetorical. Is DU really that influential, tho?

You're right . . . Right where his spurs go . . . supercool!

What is that crawling up Ludmilla's blouse? Perhaps some kind of mink infestation problem on the ranch...
BTW, Putin looks like he is in great shape, enjoying himself, and getting to dress up like a swashbucklin' buckaroo! I remember the incredible lumpen-proles that the Soviet premiers used to be, but Putin is very different. He's even a Black Belt in a martial art, I forget which one.
I can imagine Putin saying to GW, "Hey--wanna trade countries and homes for a month or so?"

Did you hear Bush's aside about the good parts of the tax code in Russia? ("They have a flat tax there, by the way.")
To: Uni-Poster
looks like he could have been in a James Bond movie
I've been thinking all along that Putin looks a lot more British than he does Russian. Figured I was crazy. Does anyone know what his ethnic background is?

Wearing smiles like that, I don't care if Pres. Bush was driving barfoot and naked under his coat. I'll second (even encourage) that!
To: Hugh Akston
They have a flat tax there, by the wayA great quip. Putin also got an opportunity to brag how economic growth in Russia over the last couple of years is exceeding that of most other countries, and how Russia is not asking for favoritism in trade, just fairness.
What I found most intriguing was the way the two presidents responded to the ABM question. Bush emphasized their differences, while Putin emphasized that our nations have common goals, and that THERE WILL BE AN AGREEMENT REACHED THAT WILL BENEFIT BOTH COUNTRIES.
I have a hunch Putin's looking for some US investment in Russia in exchange for his loosening his stance against the US building a missile defense system.

Rush just said some poll (?) reported that 54% of American people disapprove with the media's coverage of the war.
LOL... That goes nicely with Bush's 90%+ approval ratings!

Trust me, you don't want the President to toss back a vodka or two. That could ruin his life, no joke.

Its amazing when you approach someone with honesty and don't lie to them and connive behind their back - which is what essentially happened all during the Klinton administration. Putin said today that he likes Bush because he does what he says.

You mean maybe some Carlyle Group Investment?-----

I'm not sure why, but this photo from the 14th Nov. doesn't seem to be getting much play.

That was a most excellent press conference. I am interested in seeing President Bush go to Moscow and St. Petersburg, which is Putin's home town. That should be an interesting trip!
Also, did you catch President Putin's discussion of faith? That was QUITE interesting!
If no one posts the transcript, I will do so when it is up on the wires.

Yes, it IS wonderful to have a real person, an adult in the White House. I wasn't so sure about Putin but if George can consider him a friend, I guess I can go along with that. He seems to like George, too.
To: MarMema
So do I. I firmly believe that God raised both of them for this time. Someone said Putin was a Christian. Anybody know for sure if that's true? According to one of the intercessors who wrote a book on the move of God in different nations, Russia will be a great peacemaking nation. I don't know when that's supposed to happen but it looks as though Putin is in the right place at the right time. I've never trusted the Russians before and I'm still a little leery of that government but for now, I can feel relieved that Putin is there.
