Student to GWB: "When you go to Russia, will you be taking some kids from Crawford?" GWB: "NO!"

Jalepeno??? He won't bat an eye. You've got to remember that those guys drink vodka like we drink iced tea.

But didn't you hear Clinton say HE was more experienced and better qualified? You mean you really don't believe that he'd be doing a better job? (/sarcasm)

I could, however, see Clinton slugging down a few vodkas in the back room with Yeltsin.

Fox News described the Crawford high school session as, "possibly the last nail in the coffin of the Cold War".

Good journalism.

This is a great lovefest. Bush is doing extremely well and I can see his popularity in the polls continuing...I love his down home folksy approach.

Its amazing when you approach someone with honesty and don't lie to them and connive behind their back - which is what essentially happened all during the Klinton administration.

....will you be taking some kids from Crawford?....

As she was sitting down she gave a hi five to her friend. A Seventh grader, extorted a trip to Russia from the leaders of the world.

The press was completely excluded from this performance and the kids showed them that they are unnecessary. A room full of kids can do their jobs quite effectively. putin asked"am I at NASA?"

No Kidding? We flew up to near the Arctic Sea with takeoff and landings in sub-zero weather and lots of ice. I have never landed without knowing it happened until I flew with a Russian pilot.
And remember how they always applaud the pilot for the landing? I do so love flying Russian.

Wonderful! Am truly enjoying this broadcast.

Same here. Dubya amazes me more and more each day! CNN's* Judy Woodruff (bleah!) and John King are absolutely gushing with glowing remarks... what else could they say?! They couldn't possibly spin this event in a negative way, no matter how hard they try.

*31 more days until our cable system (Cox Communications in CT) picks up the Fox News Channel, due to "customer demand"... yee-HAA!!!

It's soooo nice not to feel like smashing the tv when our president comes on.

What a great day it is and how refreshing to have President Bush and Putin talking and joking together in Texas. Long past are the dismal days of Clintoon overlooking international crises in favor of his personal needs.

Thank G-d for President Bush.

You got it!!! I hope some members of our "esteemed press" are lurking on this thread right now.

We've come a long way from my 4th grade days when we were hustled out into the corridor at least once a week and practiced facing the wall so the flash of a Soviet nuke wouldn't blind us should we be attacked.

The Aeroflot flight that I'll never forget was the one from
Tashkent to Leningrad. When we de-planed, we noticed
a watermelon-sized hole that was punched into the fuselage.
Not a comforting sight!

You said it. Seeing Bush and Putin in the pickup is like something in an old movie. They should have been wearing their cowboy hats...who cares if it looked hokey?

This all reminds me of when Mikhail Gorbachev visited Ronald Reagan's ranch, only this is better.

I chuckled when the student asked what progress, if any, was made with the ABM treaty and Dubya asked if he was with the press corps. Dubya was at his finest --relaxed and quite proud showing off his State to Putin. This will go down as one of the warmest, funniest and most heart tugging press conferences I've ever seen.

I wish I had recorded that press conference, it was one of the most phenomenal things I have ever seen.

All this repetition of 'God Bless America' might have God getting a little impatient with us. I can imagine Him saying, 'I did bless you, look who your President is."
