The second "wrong" thing is that Jews these days live in peace and security just about everywhere in the world but Israel. It gives me no pleasure to say so, but Israel happens to be one of the most dangerous places a Jew can live. Advocates for both Israel and Jews -- those who encourage the myth of Zion as the only safe place for Jews -- should be more straight with their readers.

It's only a myth because you have satisfied yourself to buy the pan Arab Islamic line. Oh no, Romulus says in utter hypocrisy. There is no myth concerning the Arab Islamic claims of course. No, of course not. It is no myth that the Arab Islamics where tolerant to their dhimmis. It is no myth that they "always lived there".

The "myth" of Zionism is premised on your truncated understanding of God and the lack of continuity in His historical position with respect to the Jews and the Scriptures. Ok, we got your replacement theology straight. But to buy into the Arab Islamic spin makes you more incomprehensible since they were the ones responsible for nearly destroying Christianity in North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, Palestine, etc. Pick your friends and cast your lot. You've cast it with the Arab Islamics.

I note that the map claims all of Palestine for Israel.

No, the map claims all of Palestine for Jordan.

The Palestinians have justification to demand their inalienable rights.

You mean like the Jews exercised their inalienable rights during their forced expulsion from all Arab Muslim countries?

They were much nicer about it than I would have been.

More to the point, they were much nicer about it than the Arab Muslims who forced Jews out of their countries by the hundreds of thousands, after generations of having lived there, and forced to abandon businesses, homes, artwork, all properties...
And nobody noticed. Nobody cared.

From Conclusion II of this article:

"Given the damage that has been done to the Palestinian people, Israel's obligation is to make whatever amends possible. Among these should be assisting the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state in the entire West Bank and Gaza with its capital in East Jerusalem. Israel should not object to this state and, in addition, should help with its foundation via generous reparations. Besides being the right thing to do, this would stop the sporadic acts of violence against Israel, as the Palestinians' legitimate desire for their own state would be realized. Moreover, all laws that discriminate against non-Jews living in Israel should be repealed. All citizens should enjoy full and equal rights, as should any Palestinians who wish to return to their ancestral homeland. These refugees should, as a matter of principle, be compensated for their lost homes and land.

"As U.S. citizens, we have a special obligation to see that justice is done in this matter."

By the way, I'm doing some searching for your Jewish Land Fund and all I'm finding is a bunch of blue boxes that Jews contributed to in order to buy land in Israel. I'm not seeing anything wrong with that.

I blame the Haganah, the original Zionist terrorists who engineered this tragedy.

You have absolutely no idea of what you're talking about. The Haganah was formed in response to Arab terrorism. The Irgun was formed after the 10 years of riots perpetrated by the Arabs particularly the 1929 Arab riots instigated by the the Grand Mufti - a Nazi who aligned himself with Hitler and helped form SS divisions in Bosnia and Croatia. The Stern were formed in 1940 after the 1936-39 Arab riots led by the Mufti who killed hundreds of Jews and moderate Arabs as well as British officials and soldiers. But go ahead, tie yourself into the nazi Grand Mufti. At least your colours can be seen more plainly.

Both sides have very bloody hands. Israel thinks because it has airships and cruise missiles and is a legitimate state, it has a right to ignore the human rights of the people it has itself made refugees and even kill their children for the crime of throwing rocks. Such cold-heartedness cries out to heaven.

Israel is a nation-state because it is RECOGNIZED as such and was recognized almost immediately by, among other nation-states, the U.S. and the Soviet Union. Again, death happens because of Arab riots and mayhem - the Intifada and their pan Arab Islamic fascism. No Jew but a dhimmi or dead Jew. That's their calling card.

Depends on what you mean.

I note that the map claims all of Palestine for Israel. When Palestinian maps show the opposite--all of Palestine is Palestine--the Zionists literally scream bloody murder. What a double standard.

One more time...
The original mandate of "Palestine" included Jordan, the latest "Palestinian" state.
Now, what was that you were trying to say about a double standard?

increased attacks on Jews in this country.

What happened in Crown Heights was an outrage, but I've not seen any evidence of increasing or systematic attacks on Jews in the USA. The idea that the USA is not safe -- in fact, the safest place on earth -- for Jews, is just preposterous.

You challenged me about Toynbee and I cited a text.

I requested a chapter and page number, which you failed to provide, so obviously you did not read the source either. As I recall, you said Toynbee compared the Israelis to the Nazis. That in and of itself is enough to disauqlify Mr. Toynbee as an impartial historian.

They were there

I've lost count how many times I have asked this question without even one response: how did the Jews steal the land if there were people already there and those people were in the majority?

Could I and some friends use the same method to steal Canada?

That first poll you linked was taken by the Israel Policy Forum, which I suspect is Lefty:

Following is a transcript of remarks by President Clinton at Israel Policy Forum gala Jan. 7.

And the SECOND poll did not identify how many ARAB Israelis were among those polled.
