Shamefully, I learned those particular "factoids" from Barbara Walter's interview with President Putin. I say "shamefully" because I make it a practice not to watch silly BW, but I wanted to see Putin.

It's still difficult to believe that our staunchest enemy for so many years is visiting in our president's personal home. This is still mindboggling. Of course, we at NASA have been used to Russian engineers and scientists interwound in our space program for the last 30 years. But this scenario is still uncanny.

It is pretty wild and frankly when Putin assumed power and his political and KGB background was published I never would have guessed he and President Bush would be together in a photo op like the great one posted here. Pretty amazing.

And on a horse! Over the weekend, I'd heard Putin has been taking riding lessons in preparation for this visit, and I posted earlier today that I DEMAND to see photos of him on a horse!

The best part about those blue jeans is they are worn and tattered at the bottom....means they are "worn in". Billy Jeff or worse, Algore would have jeans on too, but they would be brand new with a crease down the front.

BTW, that line about the Clintons a few treads above yours describing them as always living in government housing was hilarious. There are some people who have lived in govt. housing all their lives, who are respectable, but they are all in the military!
