It could have been worse. One Democrat plan had Ron Paul representing Galveston. He would have been toast in a new york minute.

I'm sure the Republicans will appeal. They have nothing to lose. But I'm not sure there is enough "reversible error" here to change the result.

It looks like yet another 10 years of living under Democrat gerrymandering in a Republican state.

Actually, one of the keys to keeping a GOP house was holding the line in Texas (as much as picking up seats). The Rats were counting on Martin Frost to work his magic twice in Texas and somehow pick them up a seat or two. That, fortunately, has not happened. So it could have been worse -- like the Judge Davis 18-14 RAT advantage map.

Chalk up another amazing defeat (that should have been a certain win) thanks to the moderates, the RINO's, the clueless. They always think that they can reason and negotiate with a snake, and are always surprised each time that they get bit.
