A freeper's observation: Conflicts of interest

HOWDY FREEPERS!!!

I'm sure by now you are well aware of X42 and the damage he has brought to this country through his previous administration which included the events of September 11th.

He has sold his influence to a number of people in high places, not the least of which is Tyson, based in Arkansas. It was through this influence that he allowed this poultry producer to get away with destroying the enviroment by polluting the Elk River at it's chicken-plucking plant in Missouri. This chicken litter causes oil slicks, scum and white foam along the shoreline.

A group of property owners around Oklahoma's Grand Lake have filed a lawsuit against Tyson claiming enormous harm has resulted from their actions. You'll never guess who's serving as Tyson Food's attorney: Oklahoma state Senate Pro Tempore Stratton Taylor, a Democrat.

So why did Tyson Foods choose Taylor as their attorney? Well, I think it's quite obvious. He's got legislative clout. He continues to deny that this is a conflict of interest. Yet he participates in legislation that could affect the company. Last year, Taylor voted on an electric deregulation bill while his firm represented the state's two largest utilities. And during the '88 session he voted against an amendment which would have required the chicken industry to pay $300,000 in fees rather than requiring the taxpayers to pay.

Now, before you X42 loyalist hacks come on here with this moral equalvancy B.S. about "Well the G.O.P. has done the same things too."let me tell you something. Your idol is not as angelic as you would like us to think he is. There is an article on Free Republic that addresses the actions of your beloved idol Here is the link to the article.A lot of people either lost their lives or suffered retribution because they dared to blow the whistle on corrupt and unethical action such as this by your beloved party, the Demorats. With, I might add the support and encourgament of their pals in the established media. There were 4 quotes attrubuted to X42 in that article. People like him are the reason why the Demorats are not looked upon at all with any respect even in positions of authority. That moral equalvalancy nonsense and B.S. just ain't gonna fly here.

TOPICS: Miscellaneous; Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS:
People like Stratton Taylor and Gene Stipe make a good case for legislative term limits. When you have career politicans like this power, more often than not it's the people who suffer and suffer greatly.
Regards.
