One of the things that I haven't seen mantioned is the shape of the number "6" on the letters. It resembles a capital "G." Having grown up in an immigrant household, I can tell you that every German and Swede I know writes thier 6's that way. I used to yell at them about it. My guess, a German Muslim wrote this. The english was bad....but not purposely bad. "NOW WE HAVE THIS ANTHRAX"...it doesn't seem like someone trying to force suspicion on a muslim. My guess is it is an Arab, who grew up in Europe, here on a German Visa.

So why the abortionists and Planned Parenthood?

I strongly agree with you.

So why the abortionists and Planned Parenthood? It's probably a different group sending out the anthrax hoax letters to the Planned Parenthoods, capitalizing on the fears of the moment, and on the response teams being strained and overburdened already. Abortion clinics have been receiving fake anthrax letters for about 3 years now. My guess would be the PP "anthrax" letters were sent by anti-abortion opportunists without any connection to those sending out the "real thing."

If you wanted to test anthrax, you wouldn't send it with a cover note. Read the cover note: "We have this anthrax. You cannot stop us." This was not an attack, nor was it a test. It was an advertisment.

So why the abortionists and Planned Parenthood? It's hard to imagine why anybody would want to send anthrax to an abortion clinic. That's overkill. Approximately half the people that go in come out dead as it is!

My guess, a German Muslim wrote this. You're getting warm. The likely author of the letters, Mohammed Atta, was a Muslim, and was educated in Germany.

Well, it isn't out of the question this was a test, it's just a very, very poor one. The minute amounts present in one small envelope can't provide conclusive -- or indeed any -- evidence of effectiveness.
To: victim soul
So why the abortionists and Planned Parenthood? If I remember correctly, those letters were hoaxes, with no anthrax involved.
In those cases, you'd have to "follow the money". Who would gain politically or financially from the publication of threats against abortion clinics and Planned Parenthood? (hint: that would be the ADL and SPLC for primary suspects, and then on down the list of dozens of other rabid left-wing fanatic groups, including those in congress and the senate.)

Again, the fact that a cover note identified the contents of the letter as anthrax absolutely rules out the possibility that this was a test. It is conceivable that the initial letter (if that's what it was) to American Media was a test -- we really don't know enough about it, at least from what has been made public. But, the Daschle letter -- no way.

One of the things I find interesting is the way the "R's" are printed. That type of printing was taught in elementary school sometime in the 70's. Prior to that, printed "R's" were taught differently. Another thing interesting is that nurse in New York. She was the last one to die with anthrax. Was that a mistake on the perpetrator's part considering her medical background? She wasn't part of mail system, media or politics. Yet, she died from virulent form of anthrax. This leads me to believe that she may have known the perpetrator possibly as a friend, associate or through an intimate closeness.

You may have something there ! Step outside the box a little further , and your handy dandy anthrax lab may be located in a hospital . Every hospital worth its salt has some sort of lab : by definition, a bio lab .
Putting on my thinking cap, I come up with Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton, and Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick. Either one of these hospitals is apt to have a high preponderance of employees from Muslim countries.

Re: the nurse
If the mailed samples were test cases, it would follow that other methods of transmission would also be tested, such as public transportation (taxicabs, subway, busses) or in restaurants or shopping malls, etc. She just may have had the misfortune of being in or passing through some random test area.
IMO, the real attacks are probably associated with the terrorist attack of 9/11, and the hoaxes are more likely to be from domestic sources motivated by politics or just plain stupidity.

She was not a nurse. She was a stock clerk and she occasionally handled mail. Also, she recently visited the Phillipines, a hotbed of terrorism.

That's not what Jim said, but regardless...
JJ may not be nuts for saying this but he sure doesn't know anything about profiling. This is not a profile, it is just saying it could have been this or it could have been that. It is no better than a thousand other wildly speculative posts on FR.

So why the abortionists and Planned Parenthood? All the PP letters were fakes which makes no sense to send others anthrax and not them. Most likely PP mailed their letters themselves for political and money reasons. They're already asking for donations because they had some non-anthrax letters.
