How could this happen again. Pilots didn't report mechanical problems. Clear day.

I can't stop crying, I fear it is terrorists and that many people have died again. Am praying for all and their families.
When are we going to start cancelling passports and visas and expelling the these people from our country.
I am sick and tired of being nice to these very evil people.

UPDATE - it was an outbound flight to the dominican republic! CNN confirms

When in trouble,
Or in doubt,
Run and holler,
Scream and shout!
Folks, Please! Wait until some REAL information is forthcoming. So far I have heard virtually NOTHING factual about the plane, the cockpit communications, whether is was in or out bound, etc.
Am hearing conflicting panic on FOX, of all sources.
Now they are saying it was an Airbus.
The chances of it being terrorist driven are slim.

Ground launched nissile would be obvious, heavt smoke trail from solid booster, etc. Proably conventional engine failure. We call it a "Stall, spin, crash, burn" accident.

Also, now reporting it was an OUTBOUND flight, and an Airbus, not a 767

After losing Joey this Easter, I didn't believe anything worse could possibly happen this year... Gabba Gabba Hey!

Second eyewitness report, broadcast on WINS Radio, NY: Emilio Santana, limo driver: Sudden explosion while plane airborne, wing broke apart, plane came down.

cow-orkers!
Imagine, orking those poor unsuspecting cows. Is that how butter is made? : )

Sorry to break this to you, but the flights to the Carribbean are usually packed. Many Dom. Republic residents fly back and forth to and from NYC to see relatives, etc. Doesn't make me feel any better as I'm flying to San Juan on Saturday, or at least am scheduled to at this point.

If the plane was taking off, it was full. This flight departed JFK at 9:15.
NY1 now reporting EIGHT homes on fire.

Jumping to conclusions is great exercise. Do you do it often?
To: gridlock
Was outbound, probably mechanical problems and returned a few minutes into the flight. The thing that doesn't make sense is the color of the smoke indicates low fuel.
