Eric you fail to grasp the essentials of this problem. Where does freedom come from? Why is it right and proper that man be free? Because a bunch of landed slave owning white guys got together in the latter seventeen hundreds and SAID so?

This idea that man has a RIGHT to freedom is a very new idea on this planet. It needs a solid base to hold it up. That base is the base described in the Declaration of Independance. Freedom is a DEVINE right. Remove this base and freedom becomes something granted by government as the EU maintains.

But then one must ask ... WHAT devinity grants this right? If you pretend .... as you do .... that this is an irrelevant arguement then you leave yourself wide open to having the base 'switched out' on you while your not paying attention. The God we believe gave us unallienable rights is the God of the Bible. You can bitch all you want about this and you can pretend it is not true like the Libertarians wish to do .... but it is the truth and you cannot change it.

The founding fathers were Deists, or do you not know your history. It does not matter who you believe your creator to be, as long as the constitution takes precedence over anything else.

This country was founded on the principle of FREEDOM, of speech, of religion, etc, etc, Not on Religious grounds.

Whomever spouts that Morality can ONLY be found through Christianity is full of themselves, because Morality CAN and IS found elsewhere.

It's sad if it takes the threat of rotting in eternal flame for a person to be MORAL. It does not take a threat for me, I do it, because it is the RIGHT thing to do.

But above it all for me is the constitution of the United States, which states what powers my government is limited to, and what rights they are not allowed to infringe upon.

One of those is religion, you ARE NOT allowed to force your religion upon me through the government, PERIOD, even though it sounds like you would LOVE to try. Just as I am not allowed to force my religion upon you through the government, even though that is one thing that I would not dream of doing.

You are another one of those minority of Christians who are so arrogant about thier religion, and so self righteous in your beliefs, that no matter what FACTS I give you, you will call me revisionist, because facts are NOT what you are indeed interested in.

You have a worldview that is NOT based on Facts, but based on your religion, which is fine, but don't expect me to debate you with facts then, because it won't do me any good.
