Thanks for posting this. My regards to the family and prayers for strength and divine comfort; prayers for those investigating to find the person who did this.

Hey, Joe, everybody. We need to keep the arson investigator's feet to the fire (pardon the pun). Not maliciously, but enough to let him know that Chief wasn't just a man, he was a FReeper. And we will not let him go gently into the night.
Maybe a nudge now and then to the investigator's office might keep some attention focused on this event. In fact, considering the analytical skills of some FReepers, maybe this is an opportunity to do a little digging of our own.

Thank you for this update and please keep us posted.
The Chief was loved and respected by so many.
My prayers continue for his wife and family.

Who did it, and will/when will they catch him/her/them?
Was Chief anyone that an opponent of FR would want gone?

Thanks for the update. Another bump for justice.

Nothing surprises me anymore. If I had to guess who would do such a thing my first guess would be the IRS or some other branch of our government. They cannot stand patriots like Chief and that is sad.
Go ahead flame away but I do not trust our government and NEVER will.
May God bless the family.

I'm glad this thread was moved to the sidebar.
Big bump to the top for CHIEF Negotiator, and a belated Happy Birthday to the United States Marine Corps, in which he proudly served, and a happy Veterans Day, both in memory of the CHIEF and to all who have served and are serving now.

Yesterday was the 226th birthday of the USMC. I knew Chief was a Marine and I took special time to remember him, silently, as our fallen members of our Marine Corps League who died this year were mentioned by name. I think of Chief often.. When I came over to FR, he was one of the first to welcome me, another Marine...I kept his message on my list of freepmail. I don't intend to delete it ever...
Please give Belinda all of our regrards for her swift recovery... and let her know we are out here for her too.
To: BADJOE
Is there anything I can do to help -- besides pray for her and the family, of course?
To: BADJOE
As you can see from the posts many of us still think about Chief and always will, we appreciate any bit of news that is offered so thank you for posting this.
