"Can someone tell me what country was offered a seat in the UN that Bush was referring too? I thought it was Syria, but someone else said it was Sudan. Neither one of them is particularly a good choice.
I am so glad he gets right to the punch....can you imagine Klinton ever being so straight forward without kissing a$$?
No I cannot - and as I said earlier, Clinton/Gore would have been apologizing for America and trying to appease the murderers.

It undermines the credibility of this great institution, for example, when the Commission on Human Rights offers seats to the world's most persistent violators of human rights. The United Nations depends above all on its moral authority and that authority must be preserved. I don't know who Dubya's speechwriter is, but he or she really captures the essence of the man when his speeches are conceived! The words are Dubya's, whether written by him or not; and you can tell because they just flow off his tongue as though he's giving the speech extemporaneously!
What a gift we have been given, to have this man at this time. We need to remember to lift him up in prayer EVERYDAY!

Here...dry your eyes and blow your nose on this U.N. flag...you'll feel sanctified. **g**

Heel slamming and proclamations are what you pray for -- they accomplish nothing. Kissing the U.N.'s tushie for being "resolved to keep the most basic commitment of civilization" is an out-and-out distortion...and will accomplish something that might not cause Americans who cherish our freedoms to give three big cheers in the future.
I want our President to have the guts to call things what they are. And how that can be a bad thing except for those who want the U.N.'s vision for America to be our own...I haven't a clue.

Made who squirm in their seats, exactly?
I see the possibility of good conservatives throwing rose petals at General Kofi's feet before very long...pffft.

As each speech, according to reports, is absolutely the best ever, would you mind paging me when this pronouncement is made along with the notation that he just walked on water while delivering it.
Thanking you in advance.....

Now, how did I know you were going to say that? **LOL!!**

LOL! I guess I'm a creature of habit!!!
To: Mercuria; Rowdee
Well, well. How surprising that Mercuria and Rowdee, the two malcontents who can't see the forest through the trees, are yelling alone in the wilderness.

The camera panned a few nations, I thought the representative from Syria looked a little agrived, etc. And the applause meter didn't exactly peg out over Bush's speech.
While I am sure many RINO's would throw rose petals, conservatives will only throw their shoes at this nest of parasites and American haters.

You boys sound like a bunch of liberals. I guess you're what passes for conservatives these days in the GOP. If anyone doesn't see your hallucinations with you, then they must be democrats, because in your minds, there are only democrats and republicans. It's comical that you think there's a difference between the two.

There's a difference between dissembling and speaking diplomatically. The President was dissembling. Those he fooled with the doubletalk are his supporters. The penniless beggars he was dignifying by making a speech to them are unimpressed. They know that their anti-American organization will continue to give cover to them and that the one nation, the US, which finances and preserves the organization will, as usual, do nothing.

When Bush alluded to the nonsensical founding purpose of the UN, and said that their nonexistant leadership is needed, that was about what you could have expected from Al Gore, had Gore managed to pull off his theft of the election. The dissembling he did was for his amen corner, who he knows he needs to toss a rhetorical bone from time to time.
This is a dire state of emergency we're in and failure to speak strongly and to act even more strongly is not encouraging. If you folks would prefer to pretend that the President put the UN on notice about anything, then go ahead. I prefer to face obvious facts when they are staring me in the face.

The President does need to deliver a message to the UN. It could have been delivered in a tiny fraction of the time he took with his speech. Actually, it could have been delivered in one sentence:" You parasites should prepare yourselves for a flight back home."
The UN is our enemy. If you can't see that, you might need to do a little surfing on their website.

"the most basic commitment of civilization"And judging from their record, that would be "a fire pit, a rain cover and a big stick to beat back the hands reaching in for a tidbit from the BBQ." Liberty for the masses is not exactly what the UN strives for.
