If some of them can be enlightened one at a time...one at a time...then....

Yes, indeed- you can't change the world, but you can win people over, one at a time. And they can win others over, and so on--

Buttons are a very good idea... ChaseR suggests business cards, and using the Panama Canal as a wedge issue, because it's not too politically charged, like clinton is.

The biggest handicap to learning the truth is the fact that most Americans will not take a story or news item seriously unless they see & hear it every single day for about a week running. It has to be repeated again & again on TV, the radio, and in the headlines until it breaks thru the static background noise of "all the other stuff" going on in their lives. Television has compounded the problem by encouraging short attention spans.

bobono says (#13): Can't we do more than yak?

backhoe says on Dubob #9, (#124): Consider recruiting new members to Free Republic...

Mudboy Slim says (#73): Congressman Bob Barr said himself that withoug FreeRepublic.com Der SchleekMeister wouldda never been impeached the first time around!!

Don't underestimate the power of yakking, especially here on FR. I turned a friend on to FR, now he can't sleep at night from what he's learned...LOL! IOW, people are learning the truth and the truth is making them mad!!

I think the power of FR was illustrated the other night at the end of the speech Bush gave in Atlanta. "Let's Roll" became a FR "battle cry" immediately after 9-11. I haven't seen it used anywhere else. When I heard Bush say, "Let's Roll", my first thought was that he's been reading FR!
