My two cents for what it's worth:

I agree with your premise but think it's just too big. And I'd love to "lead" such an effort but have too many family responsibilities and besides, I'm so cyber-impaired, I'd be little help.

There are a number of things that have been going on forever on FR, for example, the DC chapter of FR just FReeped hill & bill and do so on a regular basis. Anytime bill or hill goes anywhere in the country, they get FReeped.

A number of people write and call congressmen, etc. on a regular basis.

backhoe has an extensive collection of links to the clinton crimes. AlamoGirl has written the Downside Legacy. Mudboy Slim has a running thread, Black III in which he writes funny words to songs and professes to never let the clinton issue rest. I think he's also trying to organize another March for Liberty which could be another big FReep. These are just a few of the treasures I've found during my short time on FR and I know I've left many, many out.

I would suggest that we start small. For example, on 09-06-01, the committee on Government Reform issued a subpoena to the DOJ to turn over a number of documents related to the clinton crimes by 09-11-01. Of course, that was delayed due to the events of 9-11. Suppose someone organized a freep (letter writing, calling) of the DOJ to occur all on one day? I don't know how the recent Bush EO affects the turnover of those documents but I'm using this as an example of how to use one event at a time to draw attention to the clinton crimes. I would think a big enough FReep would elicit a response and if not, we could do it again.

There's no doubt in my mind that we have some power as a group--it's been shown over and over. Just watch what happens when someone posts a "FReep this poll!" thread. I'm willing to bet that FReepers had something to do with the recent media bias thing coming to a head (CNN, ABC reminding that we are bombing "innocent civilians" in Afghanistan in response to the murder of 5000+ in America) and nothing was formally organized.

Anyway, my point is that every long journey starts with one small step.

P.S. If bubba keeps up with his treasonous speeches, there will be more than just FReepers calling for his head but something needs to be done with hitlery as well.

Miss Bell, your 2 cents are worth their weight in gold... I agree with everything you said.

We lose sight too easily of how much the world has changed in 10 years-- a decade ago you could not have even located a hundredth of the material of the clintons' wrongdoing.... and even if you could have, how would you have communicated it? It was so hard back then!

Now, everything is different- you can use mass emails or faxes to instantly send a story ( or link ) to a nearly limitless number of people, papers, and officials. You don't even have to be much of a writer- just send a link & say, "read this!"

I've already plugged cyber-activism as a way to reach people & educate them, but there are other, powerful means of reaching people who may have never seen any of the reams of information about the former first family of corruption & crime:

1- local talk radio. Note "local...." These shows are easy to get on and reach a lot of people- drivers, the elderly, working guys who keep a radio on, etc.

2- letters to local or regional publications have more influence than you may realize. Just as some movements "start at the top and then filter down," some grassroots movements "start at the bottom and percolate up to the top."

Never forget- the news and the entertainment industries were both implicit and conplicit in the clintons' slithering into power- they were, 90% of 'em, determined to get him in office and keep him in office. Ditto Hillarrhea!©....

We faced an enormous uphill fight just trying to convince America that "the stories they were seeing on TV were only the tip of a vast iceberg of corruption floating in a sea of sleaze."
