I think this signals he isn't in Afghanistan anymore.

He wants to have a war of West vs. Islam with him as the leader.

He is trying to get us to nuke afganistan which would surely the best way to unite every arab against us.

I think that if he had them, they'd have used them. Then if they DID have them, they would never come out now and say they did have them, they would have lured the american forces into a town (airbase, whatever) and left the nuke behind with a plan to detonate it once the town was inhabited by americans.

I saw Rivera "live" on the tube where was explaining his change-of-life episode which was caused “only” by the 9-11 event. I know this man to be a liar, a manipulator of facts, a liberal (Clinton apologist) defector from the truth. Yet, Fox hired him! Fox hired a known liar. One needs to think about that for a while.

Gotta agree with Go Star Go. Bin Laden and Al Qaeda are incapable of launching another major terror attack on our soil within the next decade. I would categorize this under the BS category that "massive anthrax attack" some hysterical people were afraid of and the "storm of planes" Bin Laden has promised for us are.

And this is his "death wiggle". He's playing the fear card, because he doesn't have
a nuke. Bet he's wishing now he'd forgone that plane attack on 9-11 and been
patient enough to wait for getting some real nuclear artillery.
Maybe I'm being too kind, but I think Tony Blair said it best when he said that if
these peckerwoods like bin Laden would have killed 70,000, not 7,000 (or theres about)
if they could have.

The fact there's not yet been a mushroom cloud over NYC (or any other major city)
tells me he probably doesn't have a single nuke to his name.

And if he does, ALL the leaders of the other Arab nations need to be sending
him calls PRONTO to say if he uses one...in about an hour, there won't be any
more holy sites for Muslims to take yearly junkets too any more.

Didn't Bush say something about such things? Didn't he suggest they'd use them. Wasn't this just a few days ago? Maybe he knew this story was coming.

I think that's a dangerous assumption. The hijackings are widely thought to have taken YEARS of planning. Bin Laden/Al Qaeda may have obtained nuclear weapons RECENTLY, but decided to allow the hijacking to proceed, since it had been 'in the pipeline' for so long. Remember, these hijackers (the leaders, anyway), probably knew a lot about the organization of Al Qaeda, and were therefore liabilities. By allowing the hijackings to proceed, not only did bin Laden show the world what he is capable of, but he eliminated the people who could break under duress or torture.

If he does have nuclear weapons, I look for him to use one SOMEWHERE soon, and then to say "See, I told you so. I have more, and you won't know where they are until I give the order to set them off." Think about it. The ultimate terror: A terrorist mastermind claims, then proves, he has a nuclear bomb. He then hints that he'll be setting more off, and that you can't stop it until it's too late.

you don't tell people you have 'nukes'. if you have them and intend to use them then you use them not talk about them.

Dunno about that. The Soviets deterred us for forty years using precisely the strategy you outlined.

Nevertheless, I personally doubt OBL has yet managed to get his hands on nukes. He doesn't need a deterrent -- he can always hide, and getting us to stir up a hornet's nest by bombing the Taliban is totally in line with his high-risk game plan.

Saddam, however, has no place to run to. He can only survive through deterrence. And we have already been served notice exactly what that deterrent involves.
