War in Afghanistan leaves Britney speechless

Either Britney Spears isn't aware that a war is going on, or that's what she would like you to think.

At a news conference in Toronto before a concert Monday, the 19-year-old pop icon was at a loss for words when asked whether she supported the U.S.-led military strikes against Afghanistan.

Number 1) Who CARES what Britanny or any other celebrity thinks about foreign policy?

Number 2) What idiot is even asking them?

Number 3) CELEBRITIES are just people, they bring no expertise or knowledge their oppinions on these matters carry no more weight than the guy pumping gas at the corner.... I fail to understand why ANYONE is reporting anything that any celebrity says or feels about any matter outside their business.

On the subject of personal style, however, Spears was more than happy to talk. Asked about her new look, as previewed in the oiled-up video "I'm a Slave 4 U," she explained that she sees her aesthetic as an integral part of who she is.

"You grow as an artist and as a person," she said. "Style is a reflection of how you're feeling on that particular day."

I guess she was feeling like a hot and bothered sex toy on the day that video was shot.

I'm just thinking that Britney's 'honeymoon' is over (a la "a star is born"). That is, the media's built her up, now they seem fixed on bringing her down.

She (from what I've seen) dresses like any normal 19-20 year old, when she's not on stage.

I dunno, I'm just thinking live and let live.

Uhh, I use to make my living dealing with the many evils wrought by drugs. Unfortunately, I'm quite familiar with the appearances, disposition and behaviors of young women at various intervals along their course of drug addiction. In her case the swelling and discoloration of her eyes and eyelids are quite blatant indicators of cocaine use.

I suppose 'fans' like yourself will simply have to wait until she's trashed her career and in rehab to accept the reality of your 'hero'. Well, probably not even then.

What an absolute idiot. You know no such thing, and I really doubt you even have the background you claim. Psst...eyelid discoloration can also be caused by makeup. It's fairly common among 19-year-old girls, I hear, especially performers.

Please, enlighten us by sending a list of all proven cocaine addicts that you know by seeing their picture on TV.
