Someone's got to slap Helen Thomas. The camera caught her falling asleep during Ari's daily press conference yesterday...did anyone else see it?
But before nodding off, she asked another of her anti-Israeli questions, complete with her standard interruptions as Ari attempted to respond. "Did the Israelis ask Bush not to meet with Arafat, is that why he's only meeting with Israelis?" [read that as her typical 'Israel runs America's foreign policy' rant].
I often wish Ari would insult her, or ignore her, or put her in her place some way, but of course if he did, the rest of the media would brand him a rude bully, or worse. Ari does a great job of handling her.

"...... Tokyo Rose had nothing on these bastards."
JH2, don't you realize that they are modern day Paul Reveres?
However, they shout "The Americans are coming! The Americans are coming!"
A further thought-Now that NYC again has a Republican mayor, where will they be comfortable....as bastard outcasts in those days...[not to include the social misfit bastard ,Bill Clinton, who publicly endorsed Green. ]

MSNBC's ratings are so low it should soon be out of business. With Eric Sorenson in charge, the "Patriotic Police" won't have to listen to him much longer.

Memo to the Pallbearers: Check the Casket -- it's empty.LOL. Great line my friend. Your two-cents is right on.
Jennings is banned from my IB controller and while Rather has been somewhat fair and balanced since the events of 9-11, I don't believe that will last long. I don't watch Brokow. Can't understand his mumblings.
Think I'll stick with Fox News.

John,
As always your "two cents" is exactly what I am feeling but cannot express as well as you. We mean ol' conservatives are holding their feet to the fire, and they don't like it. Tough.

I haven't read of this in any media but believe it is worth bringing up here on FR, to whit: today's (American) journalists think more in "global" terms than they do "national" (I've met some young American journalists). I believe many of these people have been so brainwashed in journalism school they're no longer capable of knowing the truth of any issue but simply stamp out stories which reflect their ideology. The brainwashing - America is no better, and probably worse than, any other country - begins in government-sponsored elementary schools and has done for at least a generation.
Journalism school then puts the icing on the cake of anti-patriotism by emphasizing the 'mindchanging' mission of journalists rather than the 'reporting' function.
If you accuse them of bias they'll deny it... "bias" is a word which does not apply, in their minds, when the story is a "U.S. versus (fill in the blank)". In their opinion the U.S. today is simply an evil empire, built by Anglo males and therefore a worthy target; they think of themselves as "global citizens", not American.
We need to keep calling their attention to their biased reporting. We are having an impact. Even if the NYT wrote this piece out of anger or frustration, they reached a large audience who might only now be starting to question their sources of 'news.'

Funny, Rumsfeld doesn't have any trouble balancing patriotism and objectivity. Maybe Little Katie Communist on the Today Show is going to finally get confronted with decades of liberal bias in her reporting. Oh horrors, the NY Times is going to have to think beyond Clinton. Didn't Reuters and CNN merge recently, naming the Taliban ambassador in Pakistan as their new CEO? I guess I was just mistaken. Let's call Ashley Banfield, MSNBC's infobabe in Pakistan, and ask her -- or is she too busy getting yet another Islam make-over?

MSNBS gives a full hour to Taliban propoganda every evening with their verion of Tokyo Rose- Ashleigh Banfield. You should watch it just to see how out of touch with reality they really are.

"Rumsfeld memo to the press hacks: Next time, before trafficking in rumors and ending up with egg on your mug, check with me first."I would prefer that Rummy was a little more forceful. Something along the lines of: "Frankly you clym..er, journalists are really starting to make me doubt your honesty. You have been reporting the enemies' pap as gospel and give nary a care to the truth and this country's interests. If this bullsh*t doesn't stop, I'll just issue press releases and give interviews to those of you who display journalistic integrity--all two of you. I've got better things to do than respond to the lying Taliban. See you tomorrow after you've had a chance to consider what you have been doing. Good day."

Good one, John!
I think conservatives should be proud of the effect they are having on the news media, forcing them to stand by their country instead of their mother socialism.
To: JohnHuang2
As usual, your 2 cents is worth a million dollars! Outstanding!

Thanks for the ping, oh how do I hate the media let me count the ways.....( way to many for one post I am sure)
To: JohnHuang2
Tonight's news was more of the same, piled higher and deeper. We started with Brokaw, who introduced 5 stories, each with a negative twist. Could not take it any more. Turned to Rather. The CBS reports completely contradicted the NBC reports.
To: gov_bean_ counter
Amazing to see CBSNEWS as the preferable alternative -- but that's how bad NBC/ABC have become.

The only reason I was watching either is because the TV in the kitchen is an antique and won't get Fox without a cable box. Gov_bean_ counter is also a penny penching coot and won't spring for one. LOL. PS. Ms. gov_bean_ counter is now Fox addicted, expecially for O'Reilly.
