Well, it's something anyway. The only significant Republican victory of this year is a pubbie who said he only became a pubbie because the Democrat field was too crowded.

Ouch. It appears we live in a generation where liberal thought has won the day. Conservatives can win when the libs openly fail and the pubbies show a little brass (1994), and it appears that we can get on an upswing nationally when a crisis makes people question their comfy, easy-living liberal philosophies (at least as measured by recent polls).

But the basic tenor of our society and our politics these days is leftist. What a gag.

Those happy faces are almost as big as Jerry Nadler standing right beside Green---but he's not grinning now!

This is true. Bloomberg is an admitted liberal, but he is better than slime-Nader-bootlicker Green.

None of the local TV were giving Bloomberg a chance back then.

I know someone who works for Green during the summers. She's here in Madison during the school year. She had already purchased her airline ticket to work for Green next summer. That's how confident their campaign was. Too bad!

I'm more concerned about McLame pushing for the Senate version of the airport security bill on Fox tonite than whether or not the Mayor of NY is a RINO...

In response to my question: sorry I was foolish. We knew that Green was a commie, so therefore that's why Nadler is there... and for the free buffet.

Hey! I don't see Hillary's fat ass on the stage supporting Mark Green. Where did she go?

Ha ha ha ha.

Pmsnbc had a guy stick his head in just long enough to say: Bloomberg is very wealthy and has spent lots and lots and lots of money to win. Typical for that left-wing channel.

This is the race that the media was waiting to rub in our faces.

Did anyone ever think that a conservative Republican would win in NYC? Guiliani was no conservative and I just thank God that his successor has an (R) after his name, even if he has been newly acquired.

Note for the future, NJ is too close to NY--Whitman was no conservative and the next Republican candidates in NJ had better campaign from the center and move to the right later on, just like Nixon.

Then again, Virginia was winnable and the situation there is a TOTAL embarassment which Earley didn't deserve. W. should not be proud that he didn't campaign for these worthy Republicans who put their rumps on the line for him. I love W., but this really disappoints me.

I really feel bad for the Fox anchors. They seem to be the only ones up right now. CNN's still replaying tonight's Larry King. I guess they didn't feel the need to drag anyone out of bed.
That said, I really feel for Schundler. The man ran an ideologically perfect campaign.

Oh well, time for Bloomberg's speech! Fox now reporting 34% of Dems switched their vote for him!

Why are so many willing to celebrate a liberal Republican winning? Wouldn't you just as soon let the Democrat offend the public senses with his extremism, than have Bloomberg's liberal ways be picked up as "mainstream" through the press?

Think about it. Usually, it seems clear to me, it's better to have an offensive, divisive Democrat "Hillary-type" or "Moseley-Braun-type" in office for a few years than a Republican who will vote for the same culture-of-death policies and perhaps become entrenched in office....

Watching hideous establishment-leftist Republican governors dominate Illinois for decades now, I speak from experience.

NYC just saved itself by electing Bloomberg. Can you imagine what damage a liberal give-it-all-away, union-loving Democrat who understands "advocacy" and not "capitalism" could do in four years!
