Dog/monkey on a stick with San Magoo beer (Philippines) the worst part is San Magoo beer farts I think it's the formaldehyde that's the killer. Peel paint off the walls and make grown Marines cry for a mop suit type of bad.

Then crawling over the bridge of SH!T river back to NS Subic Bay praying that you don't fall in and have to face the corpsman with the Gamma Globulin shots (ouch!)

Me and a few friends plowing through about a 1.5 lbs of Beluga caviar at his wedding. The bride's daddy was Mr. moneybags who held a private reception just for the wedding party, prior to the "gala" reception(which is another story altogether!).

The only wierd thing about it is the stuff is so darn expensive, I have yet to eat the good stuff since. (had some less expensive, but its not anywhere near the quality/taste as the real)

This is not as um . . . er . . . "odd" as some other things posted here, but I make a mean "7 Root soup" every fall. All root vegetables (onions, carrots, kohlrabi, turnips, parsnips, garlic, and rhutabaga) with salt, pepper and a pinch of nutmeg. It is exquisite!

Not too weird but in college I lived on spagetteos and budweiser. I have always liked grape-nuts in chocolate milk, and potato chips dipped in mustard.

Penn & Teller have a travelling Magic Show documentary "series" on Canadian TV. They had some great "foods" in Beijing, from the street vendors.

For the more discerning palate, might I suggest this on-line vendor of fine culinary delights ManBeef

I think someone posted the original article a few months back but I found it mentioned in a news group the other day.

Anyone remember?

"(Chorus and first verse)

Fish heads fish heads
Roly poly fish heads
Fish heads fish heads
Eat them up, yum!

Ask a fish head anything you want to
they won't answer they can't talk.

(chorus)

I took a fish head out to see a movie didn't have to pay to get it in.

(chorus)

They don't play baseball
They don't wear sweaters
They're not good dancers
They don't play drums!!

(chorus)

Rolypoly fishheads are never seen drinking capachino in Italian restaurants with oriental women!!!!!

Fish heads fish heads
Roly poly fish heads
Fish heads fish heads
Eat them up Yum!"

Back on Okinawa in the early 50s, our Control Tower crew used to go to a very small hut called the EM Club and get a case of San Miguel (MacArthur beer) for a nickel a bottle.

After a while we'd get the munchies and the only thing the Okinawan who ran the joint had was canned octopus.

Got to be right tasty after six brews.
