I don't think Thomas Jefferson would be apologizing. He once said, "Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God?

So, Jefferson didn't believe the virgin birth. How does that nullify the other quote?

Doesn't seem very wise to rely on the "created" instead of the "Creator"
