I'm happy for you....one question though....what was with them playing snippets of Sinatra singing "New York, New York" after the Game Six....what was the reaction in the crowd?

That's called "all in good fun". Yankee Stadium has a tradition of playing "New York New York" after important wins. I just about fell out of my chair laughing, good thing they stopped the song when they did, I could have been injured.

what was with them playing snippets of Sinatra singing "New York, New York" after the Game Six....what was the reaction in the crowd? The song started to play like it does in Yankee Stadium and those who noticed it all looked at each other like "Whaaaaa?" But then the song was immediately interrupted with a needle-across-a-record sound, and then "Celebration" started up.
Actually, there was so much mayhem and hollering at the time, there wasn't that much of a noticeable reaction from the crowd--we were all going completely bonkers anyway.
