I'm surprised Harper did so well. The lady has a serious 'tude. Maybe not Streisand-esque in terms of galactic-sized ego, but gettin' there, especially considering her comparatively minor talents. She got a TV show named after her, and then squawked so much that the producers kicked her off it. That's saying something about her ego!

Hopefully, this ends up being as meaningful (as a bit of foreshadowing) as it is entertaining.

I used to have a newspaper from when Reagan switched parties. The whole front page was devoted to the story. I seemed to have lost it in the last time I moved.
The headline blazed "Ronald Reagan Switches Parties to Help Save America!"
I loved that guy!

Unfortunately, this election didn't have anything to do with liberal vs. conservative, as you can tell by the fact that extreme Marxist Mike Farrell is Melissa's VP.
The election revolved around who supported ex-prez William Daniels and his taking SAG out on strike last year, and who didn't. Harper supported Daniels, Gilbert opposed him and the strike which crippled the union and pretty near bankrupt an entire segment of marginally employed actors.
Unfortunate fact #2 is that Gilbert isn't near as conservative as her husband.

I am so happy about thisMe too. "Little House" is still one of my favorites and I have enjoyed most of the films Melissa has made as an adult.

Has Valerie Harper sent a planeload of lawyers in yet? has Boies been contacted? Daley? Warren Christopher? Will it be five weeks before this comes to fruition? ("Twilight Zone" music running through my head.....)

Isn't Jerry Doyle married to Andrea Thompson, the naked CNN chick?

Hey! I LOVED that show!!
Here I am, a Midwestern housewife, and I could identify with the CIA!! It was a great show, and I was sorry to see it end!
Let's think a minute. Now that we have a few more years of experience and the internet, isn't the scenario a lot more probable? I think so.
Good for Melissa! The "Little House on the Prairie" was one of my kids' favorites! Glad to see she is still successful.

...who was also on B5?

The anti-gunners would never go for Yosemite Sam.
To: Tony in Hawaii
Point well taken. Rosie "I love Bush" O'Donnell wouldn't vote for Sam either because he's the only Hollywood character whose mustache is more neatly groomed than her's.

Why is this a surprise? Is Gilbert a conservative?
FAR FAR From it. I dont know what Ron C's definition of a conservative is, or even a hollywood conservative, but she aint it.
To: Deb
Sorry, the list of the people who endorsed her is as liberal as it gets.

Is her husband Bruce Boxleitner who played Captain Sheridan of B5 fame?
I think this explains her and her husband's endorsement of Doyle. It was done out of personal acquantance/friendship with the candidate, not because of his stance on gun rights.
