Just reported on the 10 PM WBZ radio news broadcast:
FBI is seeking a rental type Ryder Van that was stopped trying to enter the parking garage at the Cambridge Mass Galleria mall at about 7 PM. When the back doors of the van were opened by security personnel, there were 6, 55 gallon drums duct taped to the vans walls along with gas type cans also taped to the walls.
The van then sped off. The FBI is asking for anyone seeing the van with possible license plate of 4789H7 to contact Police or the FBI.

I never liked Rush a whole lot he speeks before he thinks somtimes, unfortunitly this has been escalating to this point for several years its just that kitty is a little fatter now! The government in Afghanistan is criing out for help and these radicals are just triing to take control of the country but Saddam has probably laid out some requests to be taken care iof before he hands over the Golden Key! There is no reason that we could not take care of this situation promptly we do not have to answer to any one but our selves as a Super Power, WE are well equiped and things do go bump in the night when the EYES and ears over the countries imposed belong to you.

I didn't hear them say that they thought it was headed toward the base.
I thought that is what they said but they were also talking about the mercedes and I couldn't figure out if they were both together (the car and Ryder truck).
I wonder if the MA scanner would have info. I think there was a link somewhere.

Your rambling, go to bed.

You could well be right. It's hard to catch everything on the scanner.

If you go to the main URL
http://www.scanboston.com/
It might be there. There are lots of neat links, including policescanner.com (has fire and aviation too) and links for wisconson, NYC, LA, Atlana etc...

They are talking about a guy who can't find his car outside a bar. Somebody got shot and the people around the scene aren't giving any information.
I think they switched channels because they definately stopped the truck and chased the guy on foot and reported to dispatcher they have the guy. The dispatcher told them to check the back of the truck and they said "no". After that the dispatcher told them to switch to channel 2. Good night. Be safe.

Do you know if there's a RealAudio link to channel 2 on the Boston PD scanner?
They must have switched channels to talk about the Ryder truck, since I've heard nothing further on it. (Or maybe they just aren't talking on the scanner at all any more. If it was the right truck, maybe they don't want their conversations on it to be public any more.)

Yea maybe your right, Its been a long day!!! Ive been thinking about re-enlisting and its been difficult because much more is a stake now since I left. One thing is for sure if we go into Iraq I will not take to long to decide

Coast Guard base. Not sure where that is on the map Only been there, Boston that is, once, but I did drive up to the entrance to that base. It's more or less in the same area, but more clockwise along the waterfront from the Charles.

Now they're saying Commercial St. and Causeway. near North Station and the Boston Garden...
Also the O'Neill Federal buiding...FBI etc. in there...
Holy Shit...also near Sully's Tap...a great bar...they sell 16oz bottles of Knickerbocker in there...
If they were heading in the direction of the Coast Guard Station, then that's back towards the North End....the Italian section of town, great restaurants and the historic Old North Church...

We all know that Mall "Security Guys" are much maligned. Some, if not most, of that criticism is probably unfair. If these mall security people were the ones who checked out this vehicle, thus causing potential terrorists to hastily leave the scene, then I salute these security personnel for doing a damn fine job. As another poster suggested, it's time to arm these guys. The truck should never have been allowed to leave the scene. Without weapons though, all you can can do is take down license plate numbers and report it to the "authorities".

I aggree, strategy is funny huh! When you stop to think about it they really are not as sophisticated as we might think just LUCKY, I honestly believe that Sadam Hussein is behind this as well , think about it President Bushes son is now in office besides I think he is holding a grudge!! Still one thing that bothers me tho we didnt finish the job in Saudi, I wonder if we will finish this one If not any one Intrested in splitting 7 million O.K., flame me right now for getting off-topic and making a "personal attack", but the above posting is pretty weak in the spelling and grammar department (I'm being polite). How can anyone take it seriously? His (or hers) username isn't even spelled correctly (it's vengeance).

At least we know what the next attack is going to be. I suspect there may be others out there.
