What a great time I had in NYC's Village Hallowe'en Parade this week! You just can't imagine the outrageous costumes people came up with. It's more fun every year.
I rode in the parade on a Razor scooter, with the soundtrack of Psycho blaring from a boombox in my backpack. I rode to the front of the parade, and chased other participants who were on scooters and rollerblades.
Post some pictures of you, your kids and your friends in their Hallowe'en get-up this year.
I'll start: Here's a photo of me, taken at the NYC Gramercy Park Republican Club's Hallowe'en Party at the Stock and Tankard Bar on 3rd Avenue. We had a great time, and I won Scariest Costume. The woman who won the Most Creative was not only a hottie, her costume was terrific (and she was the only Democrat at the party). She came as a Venice Carnival lady, with a gondola hat, a cape and mask. (Lisa, if you're out there, call me, baby!)
Here's a link to the Official Homepage of the NYC Village Halloween Parade.

I went to a few bars on the lower east side. But I spent all of last weekend in that costume of mine. Buses, subways, etc... I got some strange looks lemme tell ya. Plus I had a bum foot, so I was The Flash with a limp. Gimpy Flash, if you will. If you check out my profile now, I actually have a pic from a FReeper Happy Hour. I posted it with the help of Benson_Carter. It was the happy hour after the Young Reppubies meeting about a month or so ago at Rive Gauche.

Great photo... sorry I left before you arrived that day. I hope we can meet at the next one, Gimpy! LOL!

The first one came out fine. Is that the Santa Claus Monster?
To: Texas Yellow Rose
Yes, sort of a "Scary Santa." It's even worse in person, believe me...

Gimpy Flash, if you will. Along with Scary Flash and Posh Flash, you're the Flash Boys!
And what I really, really want is for the workday to end!

I guess in the pic in my profile I could be Yuppie Flash. Ugh!

That was a whole lifetime ago, or so it feels. Yes, I was. Shoulda gotten my step-daughter to post, as we had a small sub-clan going once upon a time. There was Darksheare (Myself, first to drop into Rysher chat aways back..) Darkshadow (My brother, the second to drop online) Darkone (My step-daughter, also known as LadyOfKentothe) and Darkchylde (My sister.. last of all to appear online)
Well, we went the way most clans go.. LadyOfKentothe died in a car accident in Dec last year. D-shadow no longer goes online as such. And I am the last of the sub-clan online. My sister rarely goes online. I haven't really bothered Jace, Sassy, Maxie and the rest in quite some time. Though I have worried about Maxie, as she was fairly close to the WTC when that happened. But I did hear that she was okay. (My heart had skipped what would have been a few beats when I watched that go down. I wondered where everyone was and if they were okay.)
Man, I babble. Let ya go so that the eyes can go rest. The ol' D-sheare tends to babble in his perpetual youth.
To: Darksheare
The reason I know about that clan is, I did a Google search of the word Darksheare on the Internet. Only three pages came up: Your profile page, your state profile page listing members, and the page with the clan info.
The Internet is a scary thing, isn't it? Maybe that's what I should be next year...

Next year I'm going as Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Byung-Hyun Kim. It's a really cool costume. It comes with a hat, a glove and a really tight collar.

What photo is that ? I shot a ton of them. Some people need to learn HTML 3.0, heck it's easier than learning Chinese.

Yahoo does not allow linking from outside their site, which is why the hpoto did not appear. photopoint.com is better in that respect, although it's now a paid service, it's still reasonable.

I have no problem with HTML -- as is obvious from the first photo. Something about where the photo was hosted gave me a bit of trouble. So I downloaded the image, cropped it, stored it at PhotoPoint, and reposted in in post 25. Thanks anyway.
