Mike Gallagher and Dennis Prager listeners:
Apparently Mike is in some kind of feud with Rosie O'Donnell; he claimed she sat while the President threw out the ceremonial pitch (an amazing perfect strike!!). From what I gather, she was talking to Dennis Prager, and denied it. Prager apologized to Rosie on behalf of Mike. But Mike has proof, apparently some video, of Rosie sitting on her rear while everyone else was standing.

Doesn't surprise me. Its tough to listen to a show when he won't let his callers complete a thought. I used to listen to him here in Grand Rapids, but soon tired of his show.

No offense, but reading your post about the missing "l", reminded of of a high school game we played (55 years ago): Making up humorous book titles and authors. One was the book: The Belle of Africa, by Erasmus B. Black.

If my memory serves me right, the facist raid occured during the Easter holidays. I was on holiday with my wife and son in Lafayette. I woke up that morning to the news of the Klinton/Reno Gestapo raid on the Gonzalez home. It absolutely ruined the rest of my holiday. On top of that, I had to witness this piece of sh&% Gallaher rant on the radio how wonderful it was that they rounded up Elian.
....still wishing that I could beat the crap out of everyone who wished this on Elian.

Not to support Rosie, but Mike Gallagher is a complete Blow Hard. The other day he talked for over an hour with great indignation about how horrible it was that Bush wasn't rooting for the Yankees. He drones on about meaningless things, like Rosie not standing for the president's pitch. Who friggin' cares?

" All Mike does is bitch, bitch, bitch. Oh, my house, my house, my house. My twins, my twins, my twins... bla bla bla bla." : You are right. I used to listen to Mike, but got so tired of hearing about his little "love spats" with his wife and "personal info" about his life and family. I finally just quit listening. Don't think he is up to the job. BTW, does anyone else get turned off by the little "pretended" spats between O'Reilly and Othella (or whatever her name is)? For awhile it seemed Hannity (with "Babycakes") and Rush (with whoever he talks with in the background) were going to follow the same format. Othella is attractive and talented.....but she should get her own program. Thankfully, they didn't keep it up! I found myself screaming at the radio, "Shut up and get on with the news!!!!"

A man after my own heart! Well said! I knew there was another reason I don't care for Gallagher. What a blowhard!

Let's look at this logically. Those seats are 16" across. Her rearend is what? 36'" across. It takes a lot of time to work that much fat and flab in and out of a small space. She had probably just worked her way into the seat and was exhausted. Give the fat wench a break, she was out of breath.

Does anybody really give a $hit about any of this? I agree. This is all rather petty. Big f'ing deal if she stood or didn't stand. She's a liberal dyke regardless.

I'm in the "Mike's a self-centered blowhard" camp.
Mike is in reality the sort of person that critics of Rush, who never bothered to listen to him, tried to make Rush out to be. I have a feeling that Mike in some way sees himself as Rush's successor. All I can say is: no way, no how, never.
Listening to this guy yesterday go on about how excited he was at the prospect of meeting Sally Struthers, for gosh sakes, says it all for me. Why doesn't he go off to one of the trucking-schools-from-the-back-of-a-matchbox places that she used to tout, and leave us alone!

IF I MAY BE SO "BOLD"... The remarks on this thread are childish and disgusting!! Rosie O'Donnel has been "SUPPORTING" President Bush!!! To talk about someones weight, to say they would eat carpet.. to talk about their behind,.. is childish and petty!!!!
Does anyone think this kind of diatribe makes us look intelligent? Does it afford any kind of legitimacy to FreeRepublic?? Have you ever seen JimRob or John or anyone else do this kind of thing??
I'll stand up for any Entertainer who is behind our President and this country right now!!! It seems even some Hollywood types get it better than some here!!
Find a true "cause" to get behind,.. because this ISN'T one!!! All this does, is to make FreeRepublic look petty and childish. It is insulting to our gracious host, and I'm embarrassed at the comments of some of the people here!!
To: Hildy
She said she supports Bush, she's vocalChances are she's just going with the flow of the moment. As soon as she thinks it's safe to attack him, she will.

Some here have a sense of humor. BTW what does html formatting have to do with changing your user name from time to time?

I woke up that morning to the news of the Klinton/Reno Gestapo raid on the Gonzalez home. It absolutely ruined the rest of my holidayThat was the most awful day--I could hardly believe it was happening--we were in Canada (my husband was having a job interview up here, we were still living in Colorado)--all I could get was CNN and I was just completely devastated. Still remember seeing that young woman (Marylesis? something like that) pleading for help from the American people. I still can't believe more people weren't outraged enough to stop him from leaving the country. And yet of course, up here, no one thought much about it, they're big friends of Cuba. They could not understand why I was so upset.

The other day he talked for over an hour with great indignation about how horrible it was that Bush wasn't rooting for the YankeesI agree with you there--kind of ridiculous.
I remember one time he talked all morning about how he'd had a certain masculine reaction to getting a massage from a woman, and how he had told his wife, and how she (predictably) was mad, etc. etc. TMI!!!!

Re #93:
Thank you for your comments, Mary Ann. You know, I read your biography, and it sure does put things into perspective. You're right that joking about people's physical appearance really detracts from intelligent discourse. I commend, and thank you for, you, your husband's, and your brother's service to our country. :)
I had the honor of knowing a Vietnam Vet--the stories he told about the reception he received upon coming home are absolutely sickening.
Thanks for adding some needed sense of perspective to the thread! :)

God, reading all my replies to people, I think I can summarize them by saying,
"Can't we all just get along!"
