You're wrong on this to a degree. Western Civilization is partially based on Ancient Roman Civilization. Which was very pro-homosexual. For example, on how Western Civilization is partially based on Ancient Roman Civilization, the T-Shirt is basically a modern day version of the Ancient Roman Tunic.
Tell you what, get yourself a copy of Justinian's Codex of Roman Law (or the one by Constantine or Theodosius for that matter) and find me a law that allowed homosexuals to marry. The Romans were hardly 'pro-homosexual' particularly during the Republic. That some Romans descended into the pit of debauchery during the Empire should be a cautionary example to us today. Unless you consider folks like Caligula, Hadrian, and Elagabalus to be models of virtue...

Actually, when I post that, I had Socrates, Plato and a couple of other Ancient Roman and Greek Philosophers in mind.
