Your delusional rant betrays your ignorance. Thanks for bumping this thread. May we NEVER forget who the REAL enemy is (and realize their supporters also live in THIS country).

"I would rather die fighting to get out than to jump."

They didn't have that choice. It was a choice between burning alive and jumping to their deaths.

"They didn't have that choice."

Boy, some of you just can't deal with the truth.

They had a choice to jump or not jump, and that is a fact. Some chose to to not jump. That's a fact too.

If you can't handle the hard truth that is your problem. If you you rather be a jumper than someone who didn't, that is your business.

I hope I would not jump if I were in that situation. If that causes you anger or distress, look inside and ask yourself why that is so, because frankly I don't see how anyone should get offended over it since it would have zero effect on anyone other than myself and perhaps my family which would feel the same way as I.

Are you also offended and upset that not everyone jumped? Does it bother you that some people did what they could to stay alive as long as possible?

"It was a choice between burning alive and jumping to their deaths."

You only know that because you have hindsight on the event and an external perspective. Many people there in the smoke and fire had no clue what had happened, phone records bear that out. Even if they knew exactly what had happened, how do you know for sure you can't find a way our if you don't try? You don't.

Did someone push your buttons this morning? There's no need to be rude.

Sorry, I didn't intend it to sound rude, just emphatic.

LOL! OK, you're forgiven! Actually I read about a study not too long ago where some companies have stopped having employees communicate using e-mail and have returned to using the phone, because it's so easy to project a mood or attitude that you didn't mean.

Hard to believe that the September 11, 2001 attacks and this thread our now over 10 years old. I was 17 (very nearly 18) when the attacks happened. I’m now 28. This was the sad and defining moment for my generation. I remember details from that day pretty clearly. Watching it on TV at school, then at home. Also watching the President’s Address to the Nation, and the lighting of the candle on our front porch that night as a vigil for those who died. While no one can know the futue, I still hope this does not happen again.

Hello and welcome coolgee.

Here is a collection of the threads here on 9/11. Many of these were posted in real time as it was happening, and are an amazing look at that day.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/620413/posts

We lost 2 members on 9/11. BCM (Battalion Commander Moran - John Moran of the FDNY on the 47th floor of the North Tower - his body was never recovered, and BKO for Barbara K. Olson an author who was on the plane that hit the Pentagon) and another member's father who was on Flight 93.

Take care.
