They loved the fact that there were so few of them, that is what made them special

It seems as if the anti-libertarians are the ones who make a big deal about the numbers. I've never met or heard of a libertarian who wouldn't welcome others gladly. In fact, many, many more people claim a libertarian outlook than are registered with the party.

Oddly enough, there are large amounts of people who claim that they's 'be' a Libertarian except for one or two items of the platform with which they do not totally agree. Yet, they are willing party members of larger parties with which they do not totally agree!

Some of you guys can get upset about legalizing marijuana but have no problem supporting a party that participated in treason with bill clinton and the impeachment trial. Go figure.

If we seem too elite for you, it isn't because we want to keep you out. I understand that the ideas of self-control, self-responsibilty, small government, and not using force or fraud on others are concepts that not everyone welcome. You are free to choose, just as you are free to choose to either be a government-reliant welfare recipient or a wage earner.

Mensas and Christians!! How is it possible?

Almost lol. Are you saying that Christians cannot be in the upper 2% or that Mensans cannot be Christians?

There are many that have a libertarian outlook and would never join the Libertarian Party.(Nor Mensa for that matter!) And yes, I not only welcome growth and strength to our numbers, I expect it.

Will Libertarain thought ever become a majority in America? No, I really don't think that is possible. We have some that need their mommy, some that need their daddy, and some that grow up. It is a cyclical thing. You pick your battles and sometimes people grow up.

I admit that there are probably many issues that I agree with Libertarians on, well maybe some anyway. The problem is that "there are only 2 horses in the race". I don't know is Ross Perot really said that or if it was a parody but it is still true. As a Christian I could support some off the wall Christian dude who, like me, thinks prostitution and porn are the same thing and that they should not be legal, but he would be unelectable. For me the differences between Gore and Bush are absolutely vast and worthy of my efforts to avoid the one in favor the other. The phrase "too elite for you" is a bit manipulative don't you think?

When you have a two horse race you make sure the best one wins. Then you are patient and vie for jockey of the winning horse. Republican Liberty Caucus

I pray almost daily for God to destroy the wicked in this country. Would you like me to add you to the list?

Probably should think about changing your screen name to "one_sick_puppy". Far more fitting. AND anybody who worships a God that "destroys" needs to re-evaluate. A true "GOD" would not need to destroy or strong-arm believers with fear of some eternity in hell for just not believing. That's the same crap the Taliban spews

I agree. It seems that loving and praying mercy for your enemies has never really caught on.

The RLC doesn't have an official platform like the major parties, because it is a political club and only affiliated with a major party. It is a group that seeks to support libertarian and like-minded candidates in the Republican Party. A platform is not an accurate reflection of the views of its members; it is a compromise between the people who are interested enough in political theory to argue about it. In the GOP and Democratic Party, candidates consistently run on issues at odds with the official party line. The RLC has no plans to develop a comprehensive document outlining the RLC's views on every issue. There is, however, an official list of RLC positions that emphasizes limited government across the board. The document was adopted at the 1996 RLC convention. Individual RLC members do not necessarily concur with every position, and it is not a requirement of membership to endorse it. It does seem to reflect the general views of the members.

Are you OK with this? Have you ever read the doctrinal statement of the Unitarian Chruch? I simply don't trust a group that is either too lazy to bullet some points or too wishy washy to take a stand on anything.

I would think a true "GOD" would gently guide his followers to the right path by letting them see the errors of their ways. His "GOD" would be like a father shooting his son for getting drunk on prom night.

Read on, they do in fact bullet many points. What I like most is that this group is in the business of cloning a few more "Ron Pauls" in the Republican Party. All we need is a few of them to right the ship now and then.

"Wow! I'm finding out all kinds of amazing things about myself."

Maybe you are a Paleo-conservative and not a Libertarian. If you hang with the wrong group you will get the wrong identification.

1.0 FEDERALISM 1.1 The power of the federal government should be limited, as per the tenth amendment to the U. S. Constitution.

Then we probably agree that federalizing airport security is a rotten idea.
