Saying that he 'put the country on alert for a reason,' President Bush defended the new terror warning issued yesterday. The President spoke to the National Association of Manufacturers and said that already-faltering American economy was jolted by the September 11 terrorist attacks and urged Congress to get to work on his economic stimulus package by the end of November. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I am completely INSULTED that he would wear THIS TIE and not OURS!! COME ON W!!!!!!!
RE: the pajama party. It is totally on as far as I am concerned. I would like to have anyone that is honest-to-God serious about coming to my house in January pipe up, ping me that you are coming, and we'll start making plans. I live in O'Fallon, Missouri, which is basically St. Louis (but out in west county not the city). My house is extraordinarily easy to get to and I live only 30 miles from the airport, which is the HUB for TWA and everyone should be able to get here CHEAP! SO PIPE UP and tell me if you want to come. it would be the weekend of January 18-20. Get carpools together and do whatever you have to get here!
Now, I also am interested in forming a Rummy ping list. So often I read the articles about Rummy and think of all the people I have talked to about him and cannot remember you all, so let's get a ping list together so we can all ping each other when there is a posting about him. By the way, Rintense, there ARE tons of photos of Rummy today!! Let us have them!!! (Pretty please?? :-D )

LOL, I'm so glad he's getting better taste in ties. I noticed that even his chief USSS man is showing up with better ties. I swear, they monitor FR.

Either of you two know the website where you can send email to the troops?

Party? Where? When?
And put me on the Rummy ping list. His briefings are fast becoming my FAVORITE part of the day!

Michigan is so close to Missouri that I hope our Republican Warrior Princess will be at the Inaugural Anniversary Party.

"hey W, need some gum?" W looks like a clown in that tie. McGavin, does your computer screen work right?

No, he does not look like a clown. He is simply color coordinated with the roses.

I just now realized that my daughter's birthday is the 18th of January, the first day of your party! My family would never, ever forgive me if I left town on the weekend of Lisa's birthday. Is there any chance we could have the party the weekend after the one you mentioned?
To: patriciaruth; NYC GOP Chick
LOL- ugh that is an UGLY TIE! NYC back me up here. (and are you coming to the party?)

The party is talked about earlier on the thread. It's January 18-20 (the 1 year anniversary of his inauguration) at my house in O'Fallon, MO. (RIGHT outside St. Louis and my house is 1 mile off Interstate 64 and SUPER easy to get to.) We are going to watch videotapes of W's first year and all the stuff he's done, Dose, eat junk food, giggle, drool, and Brad's Gramma will be packing her piano along and we are going to sing songs about W like "Cowboy Take Me Away." Want to come?
OH, and anyone know Laura so we can invite her too? RINTENSE????

Oh, wow, I need to buy some new jammies!!
Lawgirl, how about the following weekend so mtngrl can come?!
To: ELS
Yep! It's at the end of a strip mall, so you have to kind of drive around their parking lot and around to the speaker. It's weird, but it works! I am so glad I don't like coffee..
