(Well....for us muggs...there was that night flight thingie! hehe What is a little trip with out some adventure, tho? :^) LOL, oh my goodness, I think about that every once in awhile. But, all in all, it was a fabulous, inspiring rally that I will never forget. You're a super freeper that I will never forget, we had a great time.

Scotty is still around but very busy caring for his parents. There was a post last week about his father going into the hospital. I hope he is ok. We exchange emails once or twice a month.

"What can I say, Connie? I'm a big fat pig when it comes to greasy American junk food. Shameless, really. I think a fitting punishment would be to watch you smacking your lips over a world-class slug of hot pecan pie with vanilla ice cream, while sitting there with nothing but some kiwi jello and a packet of soda crackers." ROTFLOL! You're on!

Glad to hear Scotsman is still around. I have wondered about him from time to time.

I was there with FReeper, "Old Glory". My sister taped the whole thing on C-Span. It was a absolutely memorable, fantastic time! I'm working out of town and using a computer at a library in Jax right now, so will bookmark this thread and comment further when I get home.

What a neat thread this is!
I had lurked on FR for only about three weeks, having found it by accident via the Drudgereport. I saw the thread about the March for Justice, and, said, I've gotta go--and I did. Drove from the Jersey Shore to DC, got a hotel, rode the Metro, found the rally--and was I amazed to see four thousand people there. What a great afternoon!
The best part--I then knew I wasn't alone--that there were many others who believed that we had a criminal for a President, and our country was in danger.
That day, along with three subsequent Saturday White House Freeps, help kept me sane during the last years of the X-42's term.
You folks on FreeRepublic are the very best! Eagles Up!

Oops! Sorry I missed this when it was originally posted. The March for Justice was awesome! It was one of the most exciting times of my life. I'd been to Washington numerous time, but never for any political rally. What an exhilirating event! It offered us a great opportunity to meet new friends and share our love of country. It was also an opportunity to give Bill Clinton an ulcer. Years later, the friendships have only gotten stronger. We managed to live through the 8 years of Clinton, but are now suffering the results of an administration that cared more for their political survival than the survival of our way of life. I'd love to have another national rally in DC...one to show our support for Dubya, our military, and of course...love of country!

Have my own video, but I didn't live in PA then. First met up with some now very famous persons. Life has been very wierd before, since, and after, thanks to the toons...Of course, I was just a kid then. Still growing up with FR. LOL

boy I really missed this post.. A day late and a dollar short as always. I was there for the whole event from the party the night before to the March and the party at the Museum. I was the one that passed out whistles for the kids and gave to workers and speakers as well as sold for a few bucks to others the Green corded backstage pass cards.. Note Jim Rob and Connie wearing them.
I still have the NC Flag carried at the March.

After all this time...
I volunteered to sing the National Anthem. A few folks thought it came out pretty OK.
At home, my family in Texas was watching on C-Span, and they cut away just as it was starting... oh well.
Shared a room with Bonaparte... all in all - my only trip to our nation's capitol (so far) - still fondly remember.
I just couldn't believe what happened in the elections, though... oh well.

You did a good job.
I was there, and had a great time. I drove down with RR (RIP) and Thoughtomator.

I came from Arizona with my 16-year-old son. First time in DC and we loved it. We stayed at the Premier (I think), got to room with Ditto Mom who was in-the-know about everything. Met a bunch of people in the lobby the first night and was so intimidated by their knowledge that I hardly said a word.
I loved that we had a voice and actually DID something about our convictions. It's so unlike me to just hop on a plane and jet to the East coast, yet I did it. I felt so strongly about the March, and everything just came together so easily for our trip - which usually means that it's a sign, IMO.
One of the highlights was actually riding in the elevator with ANN COULTER and TRIXIE when we went to the reception on Saturday night! They were so cool and down-to-earth, and I tried so hard not to be star-struck, but I don't think I succeeded.
It was a very memorable trip for us and I'm so glad we got to go!

Wished at the time that I could be there, but couldn’t. Sure did watch every minute on C-Span though!

Ohhhhhhhh yeah, I was there!
It was the first time I ever met most of the people I considered to be some of my best friends - before I met them.
It was a fantastic weekend. I’ll never forget it.

Oh, wow, was I EVER there!
What a day in my life. The thrill will never be gone. One has to have been there to understand what I (and all the others) are ranting about!
I made a number of freeper friends that are my bosom buds to this day. They are scattered across the fruited plain.....but who cares when we can remain in close touch through this forum and through freepmail. What great people to know!
It was a day I'll never forget, ever. It was like a new world opening up politically and personally.
I was poster # 5 on the original thread re-posted here.
Thanks to JimRob for making all things possible.
Thanks to Pete Kessler for loaning me lots of his exclamation points to use these past ten years!!!
