I hope everyone just got a chance to see President Bush just now at the World Series. The whole crowd was chanting "USA" and giving him a standing ovation. He threw a perfect strike, and he was absolutely magical.

Loved the Eagle! The eagle mascot for Auburn University (War Eagle VI, nicknamed Tiger) flies before each home football game. This new tradition was started last year with each week becoming more daring and spectacular. Auburn has won every home game since this began in 2000. ESPN.com has video of Adrian Karsten releasing her before the Florida game. It is an awesome sight to see.

Well it looks like New York suddenly turned REPUBLICAN!!!!!!!!!!
Please someone has to have this clip so I can download it. I was bathing my young daughter and helping my son with homework. Life does go on.
Now, let's roll!

Did you just see the boss (the president) talking to the boss (Steinbrenner)? Or should I say, listening -- it looks like George (Steinbrenner, that is) was doing all the talking. Knowing Steinbrenner, he was probably coaching GWB on his pitching. As if it needed coaching. :^)

What are ramparts and why were we watchin' em? I think the words are, "Oar the ramparts, we watched." I don't know what people were doing with oars on the ramparts, but it must have been a sight to behold if someone wrote a song about it.

Challenger is a trained eagle -- he swoops in from center field to the pitcher's mound for each Yankee home playoff game. Pretty cool. Challenger? Is this the same eagle that "took a bite out of crime" when he took a chunk out of X42's hand at the White House last year?
To: Mike Fieschko
The eagle is 'Challenger', from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where Dolly Parton's Dollywood is located. Is this the same eagle that almost pecked clinton's eyes out?? If so, I'm glad to see that he's still alive.

Except the ramparts we watched section. ram·part n.
1.A fortification consisting of an embankment, often with a parapet built on top.
2.A means of protection or defense; a bulwark. See Synonyms at bulwark.
[I must confess at my old, 40-something age, I never bothered to look up rampart--we both learned something]

You would think that the WNBA would be more her style.

OMG is that fat Rosie O'Donnell behind home plate? YES... and where she's sitting, we have no choice but to look at her obnoxious mug all night. *GAG!* So far it appears she's put away a container of popcorn, a box of candy and one large Coke!

Yes, and he is 100% REAL MAN and REAL LEADER!! Lead by example--he's telling us to enjoy life and not be afraid, and that's exactly what he's doing!! He's serious about work when he's on the job, and he's "serious" about having a life when he's not on the job. I have learned *a lot* just by watching this man for the past 10 months.
PS Where's Mrs. x42?! I thought she had always been a NY baseball fan! What's that? She didn't want to get booed again? Especially with President Bush there?!

They do that eagle thing all the time at especially baseball games. They just fly from the upper deck and land on the handler's arm.

"There's nothing more spectacular than watching a flyover."And the roar of the jet engines is the sound of freedom!
Yeah, I'm a sucker for flyovers, too. Hubby used to be a jet jock.;o)

Maybe now he will see the error of his thinking in trying to hide Cheney deeper than Bin Laden. The people want to see their leaders up front and unafraid.Step back from the plate...and think a moment about the next pitch...Bush is at the plate at Yankee Stadium...You want Cheney there too???...Step back and think...geeesh!

Yes, an eagle flew onto the field - his handler was waiting for him down on the field - it was just breathtaking. A spectacular sight - brings tears to your eyes.
