Breaking: Worker at Manhattan Hospital Probable Inhalation Anthrax Case

Chanel 5, Fox News in New York City interrupted programming as Mayor Giuliani announced that a 61 year old woman hospital worker who was admitted to the hospital late Saturday with serious respatory symptoms has now been diagnosed as having a bacillus infection of the lungs consistent with anthrax. Results of further tests are awaited. She is listed as being in serious condition. Her work area adjoins the hospital mail room and 25 other workers have been put on appropriate drug treatment.

That would be polymerase. It's an enzyme which breaks nucleic acids into snippets. The basics behind the assay is to locate and ID lots of snippets which resemble snippets of a known source, and then you can with a high probability, claim to have identified something.Wasn't PCR invented by that physicist-surfer who won the Nobel Prize (for Chemistry) for the invention?
