But being tired of this situation and not wanting to listen are not mutually exclusive. I AM tired of it but I DO want to listen. I may not have articulated myself well as sometimes happens. Sorry if you misunderstood.
My expectation is that our intelligence significantly improves so we aren't bombarded with "general" terror alerts (because we have to be alert ALL THE TIME) and they sometimes sound redundant. I don't want Americans to let their guard down. It is the crying wolf syndrome and I would hate for that to happen.
I am a very commited Halloweener, practically crack a whip behind my kids to get them to go to as many houses as possible (just kidding) but this time I'm reconsidering the door to door thing. . .
I quit believing their BS when they changed the operation's name from "infinite Justice" because of political correctness. I will go on with my life and watch cartoons.

I'm sure that they,"The Feds",are doing what they think is prudent, but I'm getting alittle crazy with all the,"Let's be vigilant,and go on back to work",kind of talk.
These are truely trying times,and I suppose we are going to see and experience some other sorts of terrible garbage from these guys.
No matter what we gotta fight these people to save ourselves. I'm in the,"anything goes camp",personally.
Soldiers don't always know everything about the battle they're called to fight in.
Neither do we.
All of the other citizens and residents from other countries know who they are and where they are. Might be a good idea to begin with English language institutes.
It's not a cruel thing to kick people out of the country. There are so many other wonderful countries that these people can go to, such as France, Algeria, Saudi, etc.
I'm aware of that, GDG. What I am saying is that they did not give SPECIFICS. And if they did, then our intelligence agencies did not take them seriously. I have to say that I would rather hear about an "unspecified" but "credible" threats and give the public the knowledge they do know to give us a heads up than NOT hear about them.
If people don't want to know about it because he doesn't have times, places, etc. than fine...that's their perogative. But don't you think that's kind of silly? Because if they DID have that information, we wouldn't be hearing this at all.
FWIW, last night we heard on our local TV stations that our power plant has been activated to Level 4 Alert, and they will be closing all roads leading into the power plant, although not until November 8th (and I don't know why that is). The next highest level is 5, and that's when we have been actually attacked or something like that. I don't know if this was a result of the John Ashcroft's press conference last night, but I do know that it's never happened before.
