Great logo. We have many such sabertooths around here under the frozen muck. Miners unearth them. They get pelts, bones, other tissue out of the muck, which is 100 feet deep in places. Musk ox, too, but we still have musk ox walking around. Looks like a sudden catastrophe buried them whole [or crushed] and froze them solid about 10,000 years ago.

Anybody else catch that bit towards the end of Ashcroft's speech where he said something about "when and if" we encounter law enforcement (and military? he went too fast to type, and it's not in the online stuff I can find) we should cooperate?

That struck me as kinda ominous.

My wife disagrees, but I got the impression that they were intimating that they told the "18,000 LE agencies" something a bit more specific than they told us.

No, you're right, it's no laughing matter, and I am getting sick and tired of the flippant remarks. Darnit, no DAMMIT. We complained for 8 LONG YEARS that we weren't told anything. Now we're being told of a UNSPECIFIED TERROR ALERT and to be VIGILANT and people are still COMPLAINING, ONLY NOW they are complaining because they DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. Well, I for one, am sure that if he KNEW, it would be OVER WITH, and we wouldn't be HEARING ABOUT IT.
