Based on the absence of putrification on the mammoths, and the particular species of plants found on their molars, the mammoths died in the Spring, and went from 60 or 70 degrees to over 100 below zero in the space of a few hours.

I think that thought briefly (or maybe not so briefly) crosses everyone's mind. I do, though, have a great deal of respect for our current administration and don't believe they will sink to quite the level of disinformation (I mean lies and spin) we'd become accustomed to in the past 8 years. If Ashcroft says there's an imminent threat - I believe him.

My concerns are Halloween (I read something implying this was a very "evil" day to Islam) and the World Series. Hopefully, I'll be wrong!

Now, keep this in your mind: if John Ashcroft went public with this, George W. Bush knows about it, that's for sure. OUR President is telling US to be AWARE AND ALERT. That something's brewing, they just don't know when and where and how. He said today that our "enemies still hate us"...I didn't think about this until right now, but maybe he was already aware of these threats. They're doing their darndest to tell us and warn us, and when they do, 1/2 of the people here complain. It's ridiculous. The way I look at it, we have 2 options:

1. Pay attention. They are not doing this for photo ops.

2. If you don't like hearing about it, SHUT OFF YOUR TELEVISION. *SMILES*

I agree with what you said 100 percent. We are not used to this kind of fear in our own country. I think it is going to have to be learned by us for now we are in a different world.

Still I want to believe that our forces - not just military - are superior and I want us to catch them. I know patience is the key but it is so hard. Our country is not used to this so we need to learn it.

C-4 is one greater than C-3 and one less than C-5.....

Just kiddin...C-4 is a type of of fairly stable High Explosive....In the movies they often refer to it as plastic explosive.....If you remember the movie Caddyshack,, Bill Murray's character made small squirrels out of C-4 to blow up the Gopher on the golf course......
