Repeat: If this was a white guy, the chance is almost zero that he was bragging about a terrorist strike to come. If this was a "Middle Eastern" male, yeah, definitely I would report it to the FBI, not that it's very likely that they could do anything about it. I assume "Race" is not so PC that he would have omitted such a pertinent fact as the individual's ethnicity, so I'll take it that this was a white guy. Stipulating that, it seems highly unlikely that this guy has any inside information about anything.

Sounds like this guy has some kind of terrorist act planned for the "peaceniks"---is there any peace demo scheduled for Monday? If I'm right, the only "shift in attitudes" will be FOR the peaceniks, and homegrown terrorism of the kind I think this guy is planning will become entwined with our own anti-terrorism effort on the "homefront". This has got disaster written all over it: what better VRWC scenario could you think of? OTOH, the guy may just be walking around trying to be "charismatic".

1. Maybe he does know something, like something that has already happened or has already been discovered, and that they are just waiting to "officially" tell us. (It is my opinion that there has been a timing of news so that we get pretty much one thing fed to us each day, whether it's one new place where anthrax found or another death, so we don't freak out. FR is a good example... Things happen here first! But even FR might not know all.) 2. Was this guy Middle Eastern looking?? Or did he have some sort of accent?? And, are you from NYC?? In other words, are you good at identifying crackpots?? Hopefully, it was just a crackpot (My brother ran into one of those on the subway just a couple of weeks after WTC attack who said something like we are all going to be bbq meat, crispy and such next week, that totally freaked him out. Nothing happened.) If you really feel strongly about it, definitely contact FBI and police. And see what others who were there think. Hopefully it was nothing!

Green jacket, military type, similar to German Army, possibly cross between Navy jacket and German field jacket in descriptoion

U.S.Army Corporal stripes sewn on the right elbow. Another patch above that, but I don't remember what.
