Yeah, News12 changed that headline the next day. I think because either Rush listeners must have emailed the h*ll out of them, or someone alerted them about what Rush said. I happened to read it before Rush aired it on his show. Rush posted it all on his program notes for that day (I think Oct. 16, if you can get it). I haven't heard anything at all about it since then. I don't believe Rush has updated us on this. I sent News12 a piece of my mind about it:

My email to News12 on 10/15/01:

Your liberal bias is showing: I don't care if Hillary Clinton's okay after breaching security. I applaud the police officer who tried to stop this breach. How is he doing?!!! He should not have been put in this position by a Senator, especially the junior senator from, of all places, NEW YORK!

Please report fairly and let us know how the heroic police officer is. Thank you.

I don't understand why She needs to travel anyway. Since the world revolves around Her wouldn't it reason that wherever She is going would come to Her, thus obeying the laws of nature?

Good point. But then, if she didn't travel, there'd be less photo ops. And you know how the Clintons can't live without the cameras.

But an Oct. 14 altercation at the Westchester County Airport, where Sen. Clinton's limousine blew past a security checkpoint at 35 miles per hour - injuring county police officer Ernest Dymond in the process

How DARE that cop imperiously stand in the Queen's path, how dare he expect her royal majesty to obey a security checkpoint like a common peasant! How dare he hit her car with his body! /sarcasm

Thanks for your calculations. It only confirms to me that the officer really believed the people in the car could have been terrorists. As we all know, an intense emotion (such as the reflex of self-defense present when one feels they are in immediate and present danger), creates adrenaline. Even if the vehicle/running speed estimates given are a little exaggerated (which is a possibility), the adrenaline rush the officer would have experienced in this situation, thereby enabling him to run faster, makes it more credible that he was genuinely worried.
