Do they disdain long underwear, too???!! he, he..
NOW, I'm off!
To: Dog
"Nuff" said, you have my sympathy. I thought he was on his way out. What happened? Ashcroft taking a pass?
To: Species8472
You see, Species, there would be NO problem if they didn't allow halter tops! Coming from the era where spaghetti strap dresses and short skirts were forbidden at my Midwest public high school, I do not understand why your school allows such inappropriate dress to begin with.
I am rapidly approaching cranky old age, I guess. I would have sent the girl home as well to change clothes. Ha!

Doggie ~~~ I had the pleasure of meeting CK last night ..... another Tarheel! ..... :-)
CK ~~~ anything to keep Ambulance Chaser Edwards off the tv screen is a good thing. He seems to be the media'a next annointed and that thought give me the shivers ..... brrrrrr!
I see you caught right on to doing paragraphs. You can do italics, underlining, striking out words, and bold in a similar manner. Just use i, u, s, or b (as appropriate) within the < > ...... right before the word you want to fancy up .... and then be sure to put a slash and the letter enclosed in < > right after the word ........ e.g., <i>your word or words here</i> .... the last part is very important ..... if you don't do it, then the rest of your post will be in that formatting ...... oops!
oldngray ~~~ thanks! I've just printed that out. Have had a minor crisis to deal with in the company today so haven't had much time to play around with your suggestions ...... tried a little bit last night and fixed it so I couldn't open QBP ..... Yikes! ...... I was able to go back in and fix that so no harm done ...... *whew*
I'll have a look-see at this info later on this evening.

I have to agree. The schools have no dress code up here at all. The situation is even worse at my older boy's high school. I would not let my daughtor (If I had one) out the door in some of the outfits I have seen there.
To: Miss Marple
So true, Jane! I look at what teenage girls are wearing these days and am amazed at the contradiction in their dress (or lack thereof) and the quickness to scream sexual harrassment.

BWAK!
A late to the table .... *Prayers* to us ALL that we remain FOCUSED and show patience ... and are granted those tools we will need which will lead our Country to Victory ... with dignity, wisdom, fortitude ~~~ strength and honor ... all the while exhibiting a BUNKER-BUSTING Ka-BOOM! ... 'tude ... where appropriate, of course.
Species ... you transported me, you did, with you description. Thank you!
Molly ... those books ... I have added them to my list.
costking and LBKQ ... Welcome! I am so looking forward to getting to know you!
Bit ... Do I have to have an Afghan pen pal?! I am sorry ... all these edicts to mail ... mail ... mail ... all over the place seems, well, odd to me. Plus ... did we have school children mail letters to the Japanese?! Surely there were innocents there ... this background noise is not useful, I am thinking ... I will continue to ponder this ... my head may not be on straight and I am ever so glad lepton is not here right now. HAR!
Should I also mention that I see a major change coming in your life?! LOL! 'Tis true ... comments you have made ...
You'll be opening a resort sailing company soon ... ferrying tourists to and from someplace, teaching them computer stuff on the side ... your wife will write a book ...Scaling Back and Finding Happiness ... HA!
Miss Marple ... you reportage ... thank you.
Utah Girl ... NEW LIFE!!! The circle of life continues. May it be so.
See you all tomorrow!
illstillbe's daily bandwidth wasting now is concluded ... *grins*

Thanks for the tip. Now I think I understand the term "closing the tags".
Edwards is a real threat,IMO. He is the media's new "wunderkind". IMO he is no better than "Billy Jeff", just a little slicker.
I have a question concerning an acronym I see used on this thread. It is UOX42. I think the X42 is referring to "William the Impeached", but the UO has baffled me. The only thing I have been able to come up with is "unbearably obxnoxious" or "unmitigatedly obscene". Would someone please enlighten me?
To: costking
UO= is Unmentionable One.......aka... Slick Clinton
See Chairman can't stand the mention of Clinton's name.....so its UOX42 or x42..
97 is Hillary!

LOL! Your versions are very good ..... but actually it's "unmentionable one." Sometimes you see i42 .... the "i" being for impeached.
And #97 refers to the Senate ranking of the junior Senator from NY. I don't know how the rankings are assigned but she's #97 ..... and, btw, I find the term "rank" quite appropriate when referring to her.

You're right about "closing tags" ... it's not as important now because of changes that have just been made to the system. Now you can just mess up your own post. Until recently, if you left a tag open, all the posts after yours were screwy until someone fixed it by figuring out what tag was left open and closing it. It created some quite interesting threads here once upon a time when some of us were just learning a little about html ..... LOL!

Thank you for your essay
A Message from China to America: Brace Yourself for the Truth. That really hit home to me since I left the Democratic Party because of the former president, and other Democrats' defense of him - and also their attacks on anyone who dared to stand up for what is right.
Your essay has stood the test of time. Do you have any others that are available on the internet?
To: kayak; Dog
Thanks for the help, and especially not mentioning Uox42 or old 97 by name. I would not want to get the chairman angry with me. By the way, wasn't old 97 a train? Gad, how appropriate.
To: costking
Not sure about ol' 97 being a train, though that does sound familiar. I do know that #97 runs over people like a freight train and looks like she's been on a sleeper car for months on end in that pant suit.
