Hey toots.
I was looking through the weekly specials for our local market and this is what I saw:
ONEIDA. Priceless. Priced Less. LOL
It was ad for Oneida Stainless Steel cookware. Professional Quality Cookware... of course.
This week you can buy the Oneida Immaculate 1 quart open saucepan for 3.99 w/coupon. That's a 6 dollar savings! :-)
Just thinking of you...I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Hello! Your nephew got his "Honor Roll" certificate today, and your other nephew accepted the "Citizenship Award" for the Kindergarten class...;-)
The funniest part was...we had a visiting priest today (Fr. Peter) and when he got up to read the Gospel, we sang, "Sing Allelulia, sing alleluia, sing allelulia to the Lord...." and then after the last verse they do a big "CLAP CLAP!!!" with their hands..he was so shocked, he almost fell over. Do you know how loud 300+ kids clapping actually is???? It was hysterical!!!!

#137 - Uh....Will definitely AVOID that scenario! LOL! Do you have other similar tips??!! Yikes!
UG - Here are a few more titles by Paul Horgan:
NON-FICTION: Great River (the Rio Grande)
Josiah Gregg and his Vision of the Early West
The Centuries of Santa Fe
FICTION: A Distant Trumpet
No Quarter Given
The Common Heart
Good news about your newest nephew!
To: DJ88
well, tell him I am proud of him.... he'll get a prize.
To: Molly Pitcher
Thanks for the books title by Paul Horgan. A friend of mine has been recommending books about Islam and the Middle East too. You should see my book request list at the library!
To: Cammysmom
I'll tell him. :-)
Well, we have a busy weekend ahead...tonight, we are going to one of Brian's friend's house for a barbeque. Tomorrow, we are going to "Pioneer Days" in Lake Wales. Tomorrow night, a bunch of people from Brian's office are going bowling (and we all know how good I am at that, don't we????)......SO....Sunday looks to be my day OFF. Yee-IKES.

My sister-in-law's family has a disposition towards gestational diabetes. They don't think she had it, but they'll watch her closely on the next pregnancy. (She'd probably shoot me today if she hears those words next pregnancy.) And the baby was 10 days early too. Yikes. He is a big boy. And his mother is tiny, she was so sick with morning sickness that she dropped below 100 pounds.

Good afternoon! Quickly checking in as I'm getting ready to go to the red zone for a few days or a week. The snow level is back up to 6000 feet, so the mountain passes will be okay over and back.
Species - your description was just wonderful. It's as though you took your camera after all.
Prayers for all of you. Take care. Have a wonderful week-end, everyone! The blessings continue to flow...

Anything by Bernard Lewis on Islam is insightful, and authoritative.
Islamic history was the secondary field of my history major.

I don't think they're going to have another baby. She was so sick with this one for 4 months, and then her labor started 10 weeks early. She's been having contractions, hard ones for weeks now. But their kids sure are cute. (And I'm not biased at all...)
To: Molly Pitcher
Wow, thanks for the recommendation on Bernard Lewis too. Looking over my list, I don't see his name, so I'll add it. I'm just itching to read, and I am swamped until Sunday. Last night I was so tired that I fell asleep with with a book on my face.

Hi Dog!
To: Utah Girl
"(And I'm not biased at all...)..."Right. I'm not either when it comes to my neice or my boys. ;-)
Well, Marky is yelling for me to come outside and watch him ride his bike. And it's nice enough outside (no humidity, a little breezy and cool) that I'm going to go enjoy my son. :-)
The other one is reading "The Show and Tell War"...in his room. "I need quiet, Mom. You and Mark are too loud."
Well. Excuse moi.....*grins*

Kachina, I told you I would ping you if I found a CD with
God Bless America sung by Celine Dion. I did! Here is the information.
God Bless America
And here is the song list. I wish they would have left Mariah Carey off, but that is my prejudice towards her. I can't stand her voice....but to make up for it, they put the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner on the CD. It is spectacular.
1. God Bless America - Celine Dion 2. Land Of Hope And Dreams - Bruce Springsteen 3. Hero - Mariah Carey 4. Amazing Grace - Tramaine Hawkins 5. Blowin' In The Wind - Bob Dylan 6. Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel 7. Peaceful World - John Mellencamp 8. There's A Hero - Billy Gilman
|
9. America The Beautiful - Frank Sinatra 10. God Bless The U.S.A. - Lee Greenwood 11. This Land Is Your Land - Pete Seeger 12. Coming Out Of The Dark - Gloria Estefan 13. My Country 'Tis Of Thee - Mahalia Jackson 14. The Star-Spangled Banner - The Mormon Tabernacle Choir 15. Lean On Me - Bill Withers
