I think you will probably think more clearly about this if you reconceptualize the "terrorists" as "Iraqi agents."

The mass of verbiage published about 9/11 has been predominated by various species of sentimentality -- we are so brave, the country is coming together, we mustn't let bin Laden affect our way of life, Muslims are peaceful, friendly people, we must try to understand why they hate us, etc., etc., ad nauseum.

Meanwhile, hardly any attention has been paid to the substantive questions raised by the 9/11 attacks and the ensuing anthrax letter threat campaign: What does it mean? What is the military objective of our adversary? What is the larger plan, and how do these actions fit into it?

I believe that, if you consider these questions, you will start to see these events in perspective. Our ultimate adversary here, Saddam Hussein, has an extremley audacious but not completely irrational plan. Besides his desire for revenge, he retains his ambition to lead the Arab/Islamic world and humble the Great Satan, America. He has spent the last ten years putting together a plan to achieve these objectives, using the only approach which is still open to him: unconventional warfare. On the face of it, this is a reasonable methodology; after all, the United States was defeated by the relatively powerless North Vietnam by non-conventional means. To achieve his goal, he has forged an alliance of convenience with the Islamic fundamentalist movement (much as Hitler forged an alliance with Imperial Japan). He hopes to use bin Laden and the Taliban as stepping stones to the overthrow of the Pakistan and Saudi regimes, creating a pan-Islamic axis with nuclear weapons and control over the world's oil supply. His attack on the United States will, he hopes, facilitate that by causing us to attack Afghanistan and the Taliban; meanwhile, the humiliation of the United States will embolden the pan-Islamicist/pan-Arabic movement. He has to pull all this off without getting whacked, which means he needs a way of levelling the playing field with the United States. Forward-positioning agents with weapons of mass destruction in the USA, ready to kill hundreds of thousands of Americans on Saddam's say so, achieves exactly that aim. It appears that he may have succeeded in that objective.

Are the diversity quilts in the main entry foyer okay? I hope so! Since that is about all the CIA has done since Jan 1993, is to have diversity work shops and diversity quilting parties! They also checked on global warming, smog and other enviral issues for the Goron!

I'm sure that the Former Bureau of Investigation will report anthrax contamination if they can get around to investigating the possibility of being contaminated!

Well, this is a wake up call for the diversity queens and kings in both agencies! While the guys with testosterone were being driven away from both agencies, these agencies became a playground/day care center for adults who couldn't find jobs elsewhere!

Protecting the security of this country has been hard work since we became a nation. Providing the security has been dirty work at some times, and at all times serious work until the Clintoon/Jake Reno days.

I hope that we can survive what these diversity clymers have done to this nation's security systems/agencies!

Maybe they now realize that Micro Soft and white Christian males are not the real dangers to this country!

We don't need a world war if we can just eliminate Saddam. The problem is, it looks like he may well have the capability to unleash massive retaliation on the US civilian population. Do we dare act against him? If we do, how can we contain that risk? I think that's the rub. It's not necessarily an insoluble problem, but it would require drastic action and tremendous nerve.

Might as well swallow our pride and batten down the hatches. It's going to be a bumpy ride.

I'm not so sure doing just that would be so bad...it could just make us feel that we are doing something. What if people were kept at or near their houses for a week or so? And illegal immigrants/those overstaying or misusing visas/workers no longer needed were sent home? And, let the government (and others) figure things out. Give us some real advice on what to eat, what to avoid, etc.

I'm outside the box here. But you'd have a lot of workers going home who missed the USA and demanded changes at home. You'd have a real opportunity to figure out the anthrax/terrorist threat thing. The country could clean up, physically and literally. Most people I know have food and supplies for this scenerio.

The media keeps rambling on about Daschle's letter being the only culprit of these findings in different places, there has to be many more letters out there not known yet. The brentwood P.O. had 3 bins with traces of anthrax. Or who knows maybe someone has already started spraying this stuff, they say it is airborne... who knows...

I think your analysis is spot on. There's no way all this Anthrax is coming from a single (or even three) letter(s) which were completely sealed with scotch tape.

There's lots more of this suff out there that we aren't be told about.

I think the best clue is "penacilin". If you do a M Explorer search(using their search engine) for "penacilin" you find out that there are several instances of Americans writing "penacilin". Not one foreigner. One of the results was particularly intriguing if you follow the trail to the end...

So it seems to me that the person who wrote the letters is American. An uneducated American or a very well educated American pretending to be uneducated and aware of how uneducated Americans would write penicillin. In both cases, if the letters keep coming, he's immuned to Anthrax. I suspect he managed to get anthrax shots.

So: homegrown plot? No quite. Because we must not forget that the first case of inhalation anthrax happened right next to where the Atta gang was located. THIS CANNOT BE A COINCIDENCE!

My conclusion: an American wrote the letters but was working together with the 911 terrorists network. And one of the people who know the OBL gang said there were 2 Americans in the camps...

I started opeing my mail outside yesterday and wearing disposable rubber gloves to do so. But I wonder how useful it is. For example, I received some catalogs in the mail. I just threw them in some plastic bags I have outside. That's easy enough. Same with obvious junk mail. Don't even open it. But what about bills? Open them outside with gloves, but then to take out the contents, you have to rip the envelope and then manipulate the contents with your gloved fingers. So anything on the outside is now on the contents. SO how do you do that? Can we have a Freeper thread that sets out some procedures for those of us "paranoids" for opening mail as safely as possible.

Could be, but penicillin is a tough word for anyone to spell, domestic or foreign, and one would expect it to be misspelled in English on the web because in foreign tongues the word is probably slightly different. Also, any foreigners writing about penicillin on the web are probably research types who would know how to spell it. On the other hand, your terrorist types wouldn't necessarily know how to spell it or even be that expert in it.
