President Bush visited Thurgood Marshall Extended Elementary in DC today and announced the formation of the 'Friendship Through Education' program designed to link students from the U.S. with students from schools overseas with Muslim students. He also continued to comfort children by assuring them that they have voices and can make a difference in this war on terrorism. While Dubya was making the kids laugh, his mom was in Omaha, NE making an audience do the same thing as she shared stories about her family. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thanks to lawgirl for filling in last night while RWP shopped til she dropped!

VP Cheney always looks good! Even straight out of heart surgery, the man is a heartthrob!

Honestly, and I know it's superficial to say but that's just the way I am, this entire administration makes hollowood's insipid but elegantly cast "West Wing" look like a Funhouse of Uglies.

I found you tonight without it ..... but thanks for the special *ping* .... :-)

President Bush always looks so much more relaxed and happy around children and animals. I guess maybe it's because they are so fresh and innocent ..... and he knows that they won't betray him or their country (except for RATS!).

His love for kids is so evident ...... won't he be a fantastic grandpa one day?!!

Glad you had a wonderful shopping trip and glad you made it home safely....the margarita is sounding pretty good to me right now! The winds from yesterday's storms are still blowing in my part of the US but at least there isn't any snow yet. Once again, thanks for the daily dose!

I love the pictures of Bush with kids. You can tell that he truly likes being with kids, and he talks to them in words they can understand.
All of the Bushes are good with kids, and I think the notion that there are things the kids can do (write letters, send $1) is a good one to instill. Too bad these kids won't be old enough to vote in 4 years!

Oh dear....I don't dare go out and look at things like furniture, new cars, etc. It would definitely kill my contentment.

Hello!

I know I know long time no hear from me. I am so glad that there are so many true supporters of President Bush. Not only because he is a hunk, (:)) But also because of his love for his wife... and also his undying faith in Jesus Christ. How many people can say that honestly about Clinton?

Something tells me President Bush appreciates the prayers. As the days wear on, and the anthrax scare continues to show up, let us know that our president is always in charge.

Weird question: Their anniversary is the fifth of next month, I wonder what they are planning on doing for it? JLYSPIO <><

I'm sorry I didn't see this today. I love the second pic in post #3 where he's holding the little boy's hand. He is such a natural with kids!

Rush played some clips that illustrated how the President's leadership has changed the partisanship in Washington, and makes the Rats look bad. Here's a quote from his website tonight:

In the side-by-side comparison, Bush is going to continue appearing as a man of character, integrity, purpose, and decency. He doesn't appear partisan at all, because unlike the Democrats, that's not in his playbook.

It's a different day, folks. There has been this subtle change that everyone was hoping for, and it's because of one man - our president - George W Bush.

Certain people are comfortable in their skin. They know and like who they are. Generally, these are people who are secure in their faith. These are people who have confidence that what they believe is right, and they're not easily shaken. That's George W. Bush, and you can see it in his face when he's making speeches.

You can feel it in the energy he conveys to the people in the audience - and I think that's unnerving to the Democrats.

Way to hit the nail on the head, Rush!!

btw, Rummy was SO funny today. I love the guy!!

If Dubya can look as confident at he does in #1, we can all let up a little and feel good, too.

Brit Hume must also be a fan of Rummy since he frequently closes his show with with a humor clip from a briefing.

LOL, contentment nonesense, I call it theraputic shopping. It's easier on the system then a tranqualizer......but it's awfully hard on the pocketbook.

Oh, Rintense, these pictures are so wonderful. You deserved a break and it's good to hear you're back safely through the storm.

Glad you did your part to keep the economy humming. I ordered a new computer with Windows XP installed - you KNOW I didn't want it or need it but just a patriotic gesture hahaha. I am really excited about it,too.

I stumbled across West Wing, too and watched for about a minute. The hysterically fast talking and the constant running and dashing about reminded me of how thankful I am that the adults are back in charge.

Exactly what I was thinking!

My idea is that they should go someplace completely private, tell the Secret Service guys to get lost (or at least keep their distance), and have some fun!! (I could say more, but you get the idea!)
