Hey, Headache, you provide some pretty good chuckles yourself. Congratulations, and all the best with your other hassles. They, too, shall pass ...

I watched my sister go through 13 yrs of custody battles and I know what a toll it takes. (She was married to a lawyer!) Congratulations and enjoy every minute of your time with your son, love him unconditionally even while you discipline him.

I'll add you to my prayers for your other concerns.

PS Maybe you should try to get him interested in computers or or...anything but football or hockey!

Headache...I ain't a St. Judes type of man, but I am so proud for you! What a great gift for you!

A couple of my greatest prizes in my life are my sons.

The others are my wife and three girls. Good for you, you deserve it!

God Bless you- I needed to hear this today...

I am in the middle of a custody with a real monster-
1) She is a DIAGNOSED psychopath
2) She had her children removed from her in the past by CPS for abuse and neglect
3) she filed false ASSAULT charges against me so as to gain advantage in court (I was able to PROVE I was not even home at the time)
4) she has a history of mental illness and abandoning her children
5) she has children by 4 different men- EACH relationship violent (on her part) and turbulent (i.e. for the children)
6) NUMEROUS child abuse charges filed against her DURING the trial (by OTHER PEOPLE- not ME, including the hospital where my daughter had to go for 10 days after one of her weekend visitations at moms house
7) The judge himself noted she had a 'poor track record' with her other children

... and the judge TOOK THEM AWAY FROM ME after TWO YEARS and gave them BACK TO HER!...

I swear to GOD there is NOTHING in my background like police or abuse and everyone is stunned beyond belief at this decision- I am going to appeal, but first filing a motion to try to get it changed...

PLEASE SAY A PRAYER FOR ME (if anyone has time, thank you)

I have a St. Judes miracle. When I was 7 months pregnant my unborn son was diagnosed with non-immune hydrops. The outcome for survival was a 10% chance. I along with my family were devestated as I began the process of naming my child, turning him over to God and making initial requests from my minister about burial. I tried to remain strong, but to no avail. The doctors preceeded with testing for cause and experimental procedures which were extremely painful. I began seeking help through prayer chains (of my church and family). I also had a catholic friend (I am not) who had related a story of St. Jude to me a year earlier. I asked everyone I knew to get me the prayer ( I was confined to the hospital). Someone brought me the prayer and I began praying it over and over. To make a very long story short my next procedure was not painful. The experimental procedure was a success ( before it was not). The perinentologists were able to perform a blood transfusion on the baby and drain fluid from around his lungs. He was born premature, but healthy. It shocked the doctors that he had no problems. They suspected he would not be able to breath when he was born and would need to be hooked up to a heart and lung machine upon birth. He is considered a miracle by our church and family and I today have a healthy 3 year old! My faith has taken on a whole new meaning. Great to hear your story1

Heavenly Father, thank You for this most important answer to prayer! Children need both parents desperately, but boys especially need their fathers to learn what it is to be a man. Thank You for giving this father the right and privilege of being a full-time dad!

Father, please take control of his upcoming job interview, and if it be within Your will, please let an offer for employment result from this meeting. Also, Father, surround Headache and his son with Your angels always for protection and guidance. In Jesus' name...Amen!

Check out this St. Jude web site:

Tribute to St. Jude

The site has the full story on "Who is St. Jude?" You may also compare an ancient painting of the face of Jesus copied from an impression made by Christ, with a remarkable photo from the Shroud of Turin.

The site has many great links for Biblical research and early history of the Christian Church.
