"It's about time school history lessons acknowledged the contribution of famous homosexuals," Another reason why my daughter won't be going to public schools.

How can you prove that someone who hasn't been proven to even exist is gay?

who took from the rich and gave to the poor Actually, he took from the Government and gave to the taxpayers. It is too bad that we have let Robin Hood become a hero of the left, when in fact his arch-enemy was the tax collector.

How can you prove that someone who hasn't been proven to even exist is gay? I can't prove that Bert and Ernie exist, but I have no doubt that they are gay.
To: Lizavetta
Good question! Obviously this opens up a whole new field of famous people for homosexuals to claim as their own. I predict Peter Pan, the White Rabbit, and Sir Lancelot to be 'outed' within the next two years.

Yet another academic brainfart. Still, if any one is interested in reading a serious, intelligent account of the Robin Hood legend, I recommend J. C. Holt's "Robin Hood". Great book.

That Friar always looked kind of homo looking to me.

I thought his band was "merry", which might be different than "gay." A bit hard to tell 700 years posthumously, I'd say.
To: The Other Harry
I don't think Robin Hood was gay, although his band of men were merry.

Now what's the difference between this and concluding that one of the TeleTubbies (TM) is gay??
Reminds me of an old joke:
Johnny says to the school teacher: "Ma'am, what's a leather?"
Teacher: "Leather? What are you talking about?"
Johnny: "Well, I'm reading Robin Hood and it says right here "Robin Hood ripped his leather jerkin off"."
To: Lizavetta
How can you prove that someone who hasn't been proven to even exist is gay? Oh, just put the story out there. If it gets repeated, it beomes fact.

Beat me by a whisker!

Dennis Moore, Dennis Moore, he's not in this bit.
To: Lizavetta
Actually, there is a great deal of evidence of his life and times, although not called "Robin Hood", and movie story about saving Marion from the Sheriff are fiction.
Why don't these pro-homo groups claim Hitler as one of their own?
