Targeting systems aside -
consider the number of circuits used in just about anything we use today,
including those nifty hummers,
and this gizmo might be real meaningful.
PS: The Soviets have been working on stuff like this for years and years, they liked to play in sciences that we tend to ignore.

Thanks for the ping. Yes, of course I'm interested. I have written two articles on the subject of EMP weaponry (last year) and gotten nothing but "tin hat" ridicule from many of the freepers.
The U.S. probably has even more advanced EMP weapons. When put into space they are a much more reliable anti-missile shield than the ground based trying to hit a bullet(rocket) with another bullet.
We are in an entirely new age of weaponry and I'm sure the military is just itching to try them out in Afghanistan.

1) Most major weapons systems are extensively "hardened" against EMF interference. The weapons at risk are the COTS, handheld, "Army of One" type stuff.
2) The biggest problem with these things is that they are not true focused beam weapons and tend to mess up your own electronics if anywhere near the emitter.

No "tin hat" pings from me, MR, altho I readily understand. I tuned into this a number of years ago; most people have no clue what you are talking about.
Remember 'too stupid to quit' is a legitimate strategy.
How about reciprocal pinging on this topic? I suspect it will be of greater interest in the not too distant future. Sooner if the ragheads had anything to take out...
