It is the end of an era.
I have every American Spectator mag since Jan '93. One of my favorites is the Sept '95 edition, when James Ring Adams first educated me about the Riady connection and the coming campaign finance scandal.... TAS was so far ahead of the mainstream media it was sad.

It is indeed. I did not become a reader until recently. Sorry to see them go.

TAS was so far ahead of the mainstream media it was sad. And to hear Byron York tell it, you'd think this was a bad thing. He's almost as bad as David Brock.

That's true. I came to conclude that Tyrrell's crtics were wimps when they started ganging on with criticism about the Arkansas reporting.

I think what really killed TAS was the internet.....Conservatives own the medium....look at FR....A biweekly, or monthly magazine...is outdated by the time you receive it.....even the three newsweeklies today are irrelevant.......nope, I just think it's a victim of technology

TAS had deteriorated by Jan 1993. I bought TAS in the 1980s, when it was a tabloid printed on cheap paper. It was kinda funky.
By Jan 1993 it had turned slick.
