I've been asked to post this heartfelt note from Ted Olson -- to all of you. Despite everything he's going through -- professionally and privately -- he hasn't forgotten the loves of his life ... and those of his beautiful wife Barbara, who obviously cared for you. Hence this email to you. God bless. God bless Ted and all those who died ... and live on. And God bless America.

Heaven has gained a VERY special angel. I know Barbara is looking down from heaven and watchinout for us.

Dear Mr Olson...Thank you for letting us all share and grieve along with you, and for being considerate enough to think of her friends at FR.To take the time to pass along your condolensces and thanks speaks about your enormous character as a man, and the outpouring of affection for your Barbara will be an everlasting tribute to her decency, warmth and goodness. We are all richer for having her with us for such a short moment in time.God Bless you, and your friends here wish you strength and courage to carry out the work Barbara knows you are meant to do.

Ted, we know how much you loved her. And all of us here understand why you did. She was a member of this family too, and will never be forgotten.

Thank you.

She continues to be a fine example of what America needs in order to re-establish the Republic and Constitutional government.

Thanks Paul, what an honor that a man as humble, true and decent can think of these things at a time like this. I wish him only the best and pray for his continued strength to carry on for he and Barbaras children.
Also it is an honor to have you deliver this message. I hear you often on KTSA here in San Antonio usually on with Carl Wiglesworth and always enjoy when you are on.

No matter how many FReepers there are, each is family. Loosing any member hurts, but loosing such an extraordinarily talented, beautiful, and intelligent member as BKO is especially hard.
No matter how great our loss, it pales in comparison to what her husband is experiencing. May God comfort Ted Olsen and grant him the strength to persevere.
May Barbara's new book stand as a legacy to her integrity and decency, while it exposes the moral depravity that has infested our country. While her life was short, her list of accomplishments are not.

Thank you for posting this note from Ted Olson. I always loved seeing Barbara debate the left wingers on FOX and other shows with her knowledge of the issues as well as her delightful wit and sense of humor. We will miss her SOO much!!
I believe God blessed our country with Ted Olson. I was awed at his knowledge of Constitutional Law during the election. We are so blessed to have a man with such intelligence and wisdom.
My prayers are with you Ted!!

God bless Barbara and Ted.

Thank you so much for posting this....it means so much to so very many of us, separated by geography but connected via cables and mostly, connected by our thougts and hearts. And as for Insight Magazine....YOU GO GUY! :^)
Ted, actually, Mr. Olson, if you cruise by here, please know that hundreds if not thousands here relished in Barbara's intense defense of our constitution. She has a zest and humor that only served to make her opinions readily acceptable and, ya know, she had a wisdom born not only of study, but of CARING! I miss her, too. I always made it a point to watch any program she lent herself to-including that last visit to CSPAN where I almost felt as if I might throw my coffee at the tube-remember that nutcase caller? Oh the joys of CSPAN! And remember how beautifully Barbara fielded that nut's comments? I could not believe that ANYONE could see Barbara as evil. What a turned around upside-down world we all inhabit.
We understand how it hurts to lose your partner, and accept our sympathy, which is so real, and our deep respect.
We love where you sit, and count on you to maintain the high, no spin, no smooze, direct, decent defence of our rule of law that Barbara made her life.
I cannot WAIT to read 'The Final Days', but will have to be in the right frame of mind to do so as I am still reeling from the assualt the Clinton era led against our rule of law as well as the SPIRIT of our laws. But thank you SO MUCH for deciding to go ahead and publish her book. That was terrific.
God Bless You, deeply, and may joyous, favorite, wonderful memories crowd out your hurt, and lighten your heart!

Barbara Olson was a wonderful spokeswoman for Conservatives. I always looked forward to seeing her on the newstalk shows, and her presence is greatly missed. There is a void now on those shows that cannot be filled.
To: Paul Rodriguez
God Bless You Ted. Be strong, America needs your honorable service badly. Everyone is SO sorry for your loss of your wife. She was a national treasure to be sure.

With all the things Ted Olson must be dealing with, even the 'thank you's' from so many friends. . .to think of sending a 'note' here, is incredibly thoughtful; amazing, in fact.
Sad as it is, Barbara's death, like all those that turning-point morning; will be etched forever in American consciousness; and the world-at-large. They paid a huge price, but they will forever be remembered and appreciated; and that is good.

Thank you for posting this. Barbara will always be a hero and a true patriot,as is Ted Olson. Thank God for people like them.May God hold Barbara in the palm of his hand for all eternity.
To: Paul Rodriguez
We will not forget Barbara's great contributions to making our country a better place by exposing corruption and by being a model of a good citizen. We honor Ted's service to the cause of human liberty. A thousand are rising to replace the loss of every patriot.
