"I so very much appreciate all the kind thoughts and good wishes expressed by the Free Republic readers.
Barbara was a great fan of Free Republic.
The knowledge of how much Barbara was loved and admired has been my chief consolation in these difficult days.
Sincerely,
Theodore B. Olson"

I received my book after we left for the cruise. I opened it today.
Barbara was a great lady. She will be missed. I find myself wondering what she would be saying about all of the insanity going on now. She was always so articulate in her assessments.

Dear Paul, please pass along to Ted and family my sincerest condolences. Barbara was a wonderful person who never shrank from demolishing Crime Central at every opportunity.

Thank you so much for posting Mr. Olson's note. As I type I'm waiting for delivery from Amazon of two of her books, including the recent one. Her passing is a loss for all of us, she was very much admired.

Mr. Olson's unfathomable strength both shames and supports me.
What a blessing to all mankind that men of such moral fiber hold the reins of our government!

Thank you for posting this, Paul. I'm so glad that Ted was able to see the love and appreciation BKO's fellow FReepers had for her. She will always be held and remembered in the highest regard.

Thank you, Paul. I subscribe to your great magazine. I wrote a note to Brit Hume after I saw his interview with Ted Olson expressing my heartfelt sympathy for this great man. Barbara's star will continue to shine. We will continue the good fight in the memory of that beautiful, sweet angel.
To: Paul Rodriguez
Thank you for this post. What an inspiration Ted Olson is, as was Barbara!!! I am happy to hear that he knows how much she was loved and that it brought him comfort. May God keep Ted strong and may Barbara's beautiful memory continue to sustain him.

I met Barbara when she was on tour promoting her book, "Hell to Pay". I had several copies for friends, but I had her sign mine to Free State Four. She recognized the name immediately and we talked FR for a bit. Later, when it was the social hour Barbara was the center of a big group, mostly women, and it was like she had been our friend for years. The Clinton jokes and slurs that were bandied about that night were a hoot! She was one in a million. fsf

Barbara is a hero, she had the steel resolve to report what was happening in a calm cool collected manner in the face of death. She is an example for us all.

We are noticing, and winning.

One of the funny things I remember about Barara happened during the election mess last year. Most of us here on FR for some reason didn't connect Barbara and Ted as husband and wife. When we realized they were married there was a lot of fore-head slapping and groaning that 'we should have known'.
I cried when I heard the news about her being on that plane. Barbara was someone I very much admired. So is Ted and I know he will get through this and be stronger for it.

God Bless You Ted Olson. Your wife was a HERO and a PATRIOT and so are YOU.

BUMP!

A note to Ted Olson:
Our nation has suffered a great loss through the death of your wife, but that loss pales by comparison to your own. Words scarcely suffice to provide comfort but we are determined that she shall not have died in vain.
May God bless and keep you and yours, sir.
