LOS ANGELES (The Hollywood Reporter) --- The presidency of William Jefferson Clinton may be history, but his longtime supporters, producer Harry Thomason and his wife, producer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, are preparing a final defense on his behalf. Along with filmmaker Adam Friedman, the Thomasons are set to begin filming a theatrical documentary based on Joe Conason and Gene Lyons' nonfiction book "The Hunting of the President: The Ten-Year Campaign to Destroy Bill and Hillary Clinton," which documents efforts to discredit the couple from the time of Bill Clinton's governorship in Arkansas through the 1998 presidential impeachment trial.... "This is not a film about Republicans and Democrats," Thomason said. "Rather, it's an insightful story that looks at the fringe elements of our society and their effect on the modern political process. It's also a story of how these fringe elements influenced our national news media regarding the events and circumstances of Bill Clinton's administration." Friedman, an acquaintance of Conason, said he optioned the book, published by Thomas Dunne Books, a year ago... "We read the book and heard what they were going to do, and we decided it was one of those rare chances to do something really creative," The Thomasons' friendship with the Clintons dates back to Bill Clinton's governership in Arkansas... EXCERPT--Thomasons prep pro-Clinton document The credentials of the aptly prefixed producers and their collaborator: Most noteworthy--that other fable about the man from Hot Springs, which, with an equal mix of haughty disdain and irony, they had entitled, "The Man From Hope." Their other docudramas about the clintons include: "Designing Women," "House Afire," "Woman of the House," (about a wife who inherits a congressional seat) and "Emeril," (about a cook) Their collaborator's relevant credits include "When Good Pets Go Bad" and "Medium Straight." Along with filmmaker Adam Friedman, the Thomasons are set to begin filming a theatrical documentary based on Joe Conason and Gene Lyons' book "The Hunting of the President: The Ten-Year Campaign to Destroy Bill and Hillary Clinton," which documents efforts to discredit the couple from the time of Bill Clinton's governorship in Arkansas through the 1998 presidential impeachment trial.... Thomasons prep pro-Clinton document The only "NONFICTION" clintonia: the clintons' utter depravity, fecklessness and vacuity. The smartest woman in the world would relish "the raucous give and take of American democracy," as Charles Kuralt once put it. hillary clinton, by contrast, subsists on cozy clintonoid interviews of the Colmes kind... In her new book, Political Fictions, Joan Didion indicts the fakery of access journalism practiced by vacant politicos like clinton, whom she sees as "purveyors of fables of their own making, or worse, fables conceived by political strategists with designs on votes, not news." (Didion on clinton (bill, that is): "No one who ever passed through an American public high school could have watched William Jefferson Clinton running for office in 1992 and failed to recognize the familiar predatory sexuality of the provincial adolescent.") (And Bob Woodward: His accomplishment, she says, is to have produced "books in which measurable cerebral activity is virtually absent.")
Because the frequency and intensity of compulsive CYA maneuvers by clinton and his/her gang are increasing in direct proportion to the increasing frequency and intensity of editorial comment fingering clinton for 9-11, I suspect compulsive clinton CYA-ing will soon reach critical mass. At that historic, civilization-sparing moment, Sandy Berger (along with his smarmy revisionism) will implode by virtue of one-too-many pressure-deflating "uhs"...taking the two inept, corrupt, cowardly, self-serving Boss-Dweeb dullards down with him. As Martha Stewart might say, this is a good thing...surprisingly, for the atavistic clintons as well as for advanced civilization.

The rape took place while Bill was running for governor. Hillary came bursting into the room to talk to two people, one of whom I personally know. She said "You won't believe what this &^%$#@#$%^ did now. He tried to rape some b*tch."

"I believed that he had done it. I believed her that she had been raped 20 years ago. And it was vicious rapes, it was twice at the same event." Asked point blank if the president is a rapist, Shays said, "I would like not to say that it way. But the bottom line is that I believe that he did rape Broaddrick." "Who is Juanita Broaddrick? I've never heard of her!" cried Betty Friedan, the founder of modern feminism. Friedan's outburst came at last Fridayís conference, entitled "The Legacy and Future of Hillary Rodham Clinton." Held at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington. D.C., the event offered a chilling microcosm of an angry, divided America. For nearly an hour, a five-woman panel had been debating whether Hillary qualified as a "feminist heroine." I thought Broaddrick's claim of having been raped by Hillary's husband had some bearing on this point, so I broached the subject during the question-and-answer period. Friedan's dyspeptic denial followed. Was Friedan telling the truth? Maybe. And maybe all those millions of Germans who professed ignorance of the death camps were telling the truth too. The problem is, having admitted her ignorance, Friedan showed no interest in exploring the matter further. And that was the problem with the Germans too.

I certainly hope they don't think their little "film" will be the last word on the Clintons. This will be like waving a red flag in front of the conservatives' faces! It's gonna be FUN!
"Creative" is almost right - but fraud would be more appropriate.
